Installing my AWE Track Edition this weekend. Fully expect to be able to say the same as others about it. Plus, depending on where you are in PA you can save some money and pick it up at their headquarters instead of trusting FedEx not to drop it.
To my knowledge the Premium trim level had bigger rear brakes (342mm) whereas the other trim levels had the smaller rear brakes (335mm). Someone correct me if I’m mistaking on this.
One thing I always find interesting about length of time for oil, that time starts when you purchase the vehicle according to the computer. That oil has been in the engine since from whenever it was filled up. Obviously longer than a year. So the whole “…or every 12 months…” argument never made...
Who really knows how much of a difference the heat shields attached to the intake really do. I’m sure some do more than others such as, if I remember correctly, the Eventuri uses gold instead of aluminum. But I’m sure they do something so if you can have both heat shields it has to be better to...
Not sure how helpful they’ll be but here are a few. I started the bending after the 4 screws that attach it to the filter housing.
I simply removed it when I installed the Verus shield, put it on the edge of a work table, and starting trial and error. Bend it some, see if it fits back on the...
Nothing custom, just the sheet of aluminum already attached to the engine side of the stock intake box. I had to give it a little bending to clear the Verus shield but it was doable. I left the intake resonator on since I’m not concerned about noise.
I feel saying which panel filter is better...
Always thought it was stupid that it didn’t go all the way down so decided to try this. The very first time I unlocked the car and pressed and held the driver side switch the window went the whole way down. I didn’t hold the button since I was just seeing how the window reacted to me holding the...
Stock box, BMC filter, FTP intake pipe here. One reason for me was the ability to have both the Verus heat shield along with the aluminum shield attached to the stock intake. Who knows how much it really helps to have both in reality, but it works in my brain.
