  1. Carbon engine cover install

Think I’m going to try laying it on the engine first, then 3m tape if needed, then the last straw would be glue. Honestly hadn’t given glue a thought probably because I hope it doesn’t get to that point. Instead of transferring the grommets I bought new ones and was also able to find the plastic...
  2. Carbon engine cover install

Now that is very useful since I have the FTP pipes in the garage waiting for install. I’ll keep an eye on that area when I do. Thanks!
  3. What did you do to your Supra today?

That’s where I have to praise the dealer I bought from. Got my car out of state in which they have front plates, my state does not. They did not drill any holes and actually put the plate holder in the trunk. Took me a while to figure out what it was when I found it.
  4. Test drive on Saturday

Man I love this level of Chris Harris geekiness. Hope you like the car!
  5. Carbon engine cover install

Supposedly diminish engine noise, insulate for heat, things like that. How much to either of those I don’t know but I figure it would probably do at least a little of both. I’m looking more for the heat since I want to try some vinyl to make the red stripes we have on the stock cover.
  6. Model code designation? / Why do we use the A90 name for the 5th Gen Supra?

Might have had something to do with a bunch truckers clogging up their highways. Couldn’t go anywhere so got bored and wanted to drum up some “entertainment.” Either that or someone pissed in his cheerios.
  7. Model code designation? / Why do we use the A90 name for the 5th Gen Supra?

You may think I don’t like it judging by my username but I couldn’t care less so long as the correct chassis code is known. I’m someone who needs to be correct. Not as in I need to be right and you need to be wrong, but I can’t stand having my facts wrong. So long as someone is not saying A90 is...
  8. DRL's off by Preference

I always felt they looked a little Jaguar F-type to me.
  9. DRL's off by Preference

Did on my Abarth. However they didn’t look as nice on that as they do on the Supra. But I like it. Think I’m going to give it a go.
  10. What did you do to your Supra today?

    Wish I didn’t.
  11. What intake works with the FTP inlet pipe?

I have both FTP pipes sitting in the garage waiting for install. Clearly I will need to get out that tool we all stick in the back of the bottom drawer of the chest for this install… patience.
  12. What did you do to your Supra today?

Ha! No complaints about the Crosstrek either. She came from an Audi Q5 2.0 Premium Plus and likes the Crosstrek more. Her biggest reason is she likes how analog it is compared to the vast majority of vehicles nowadays. We’re old fashioned.
  13. Another Downpipe question

Turn on the "silence unknown callers" feature. So long as you don't need to get every call for your occupation or what not.
  14. How Much Money in Mods?

About $4500 for me. Will get a set of wheels if I can ever find exactly what I’m wanting. That won’t happen until after the bank is sending me the title just to keep some semblance of discipline.
  15. Toyota Files Patent Application For A Clutch Operated Manual Trans For EVs

And if you tell them to use the handbrake for help they would freeze with confusion. Then ask you where that button is.
  16. Toyota Files Patent Application For A Clutch Operated Manual Trans For EVs

Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s also done just to prevent another company from patenting it themselves.
  17. Toyota Files Patent Application For A Clutch Operated Manual Trans For EVs

As my wife asked, “Is this the equivalent of a participation trophy?”
