As stated previously in regards to paint, a cover should only ever be put on a completely clean car that has had time to thoroughly dry. For what you would like a cover won’t work unless you are not worried about scratches in the paint. Not sure on your budget but a car capsule would be your...
I think there is an option somewhere in BimmerCode for you to choose either an animation or welcome screen. Maybe the Supra animation will show if you chose the welcome screen. I’ve never changed it so I don’t know for sure.
As for when does it show, my guess would be whenever it gets woken up...
Unfortunately no, you will need BimmerCode to change it. Pretty crappy whoever changed it, and possibly other things, didn’t revert it to factory settings before selling it/trading it in.
So how is everybody installing their carbon engine covers in regards to the underside? Are you transferring the foam from the stock cover? How are you attaching it if you are? Has anyone tried using gold reflective tape instead? Looking to get some ideas.
Thanks!
I originally thought the headlights as well but the noise and their movement didn’t line up when I watched them. But fuel pump makes sense for this reason, you hear the fuel pump whirring when you turn a car on before you start it. The Supra turns on that same way the moment you unlock it/open...
Just to make sure you’re aware the AWE track does have resonators. Unless you were saying you didn’t want mufflers but DID want resonators. If so my mistake.
The fuel pump makes sense, but I feel that noise comes from the ECU area under the hood. Wouldn’t a fuel pump make the noise toward the rear? Is my car a ventriloquist? Or better question, where is the fuel pump located on the Supra?
Amsoil does have a Euro LS in 5w-30. That’s what I’ll be changing to eventually. Reason I go with the Euro is because it’s formulated for turbochargers. Used it in my Abarth for that reason too. Signature Series is absolutely great oil so you really can’t go wrong either way.
