Even gen 1 b58 charge pipes are just fine. It was the previous N series motors that you had to worry about cracking the charge pipes on. It would break at the throttle body as that part moved with the engine under load and the other side was connected to a stationary air-to-air Intercooler...
fWIW, I’ve ordered hundreds of parts from them over the last few cars I’ve had and I’ve always been really happy with them. Never an issue and shipping/delivery is really quick.
Yes it will relock your ECU, requiring a bench flash.
I had my car in for trans leak covered under warranty and I refused the update no issue when they brought up the recall. Toyota is not going to mess with you ab it.
Have you checked all of the wiring of that power source? An exposed wire can be coming into contact with a ground. Does everyone tap into that fuse for power?
I’d start with load testing the circuit.
Just to add to the anecdotes, I’ve tan BM3 on my F30 for years and have never had an issue. PTF. Know what they’re doing. Decided on Ecutek for the Supra tho.
