Active Autowerke guarantees no CEL, out of thousands of these downpipes sold, I'm aware of a couple of customers that got the CEL. As far as I know, Active Autowerke took care of it and replaced the downpipe free of cost.

It does provide more sound then stock yes. Whether thats enough or you need catless will vary depending on the person. I personally like the catted sound better than catless, its the perfect increase in my opinion. Catless is too raspy for my taste
