All good information. However I'm good with both versions of custom tuning/OTS, but I'm not sending my DME to Russia. So until that's fixed all this is irrelevant. There are many people in the same camp. How about having a USA Femto unlocking service. Alot of people are waiting on this.
Ok. I guess Ill ask the dumb question. Are there any current methods that you can tune a Post 6/20 DME without sending the original ECU to Russia?
Is there any method that is in the works that could possibly allow this, IF it doesn't already exist?
The LT4 engine in the C7Z06 is the same engine in the Camaro ZL1, and specifically the ZL1 1LE. The Camaro ZL1 1LE was the fastest GM production car around the Nurb Ring back in 2018. I am not sure if that changed or not. To my knowledge the ZL1 1LE never had cooling issues. It was a purpose...
I think maybe the hump hose that connects to the turbo needs to be adjusted. I'm thinking the pipe going into the filter is holding the box up slightly. So I just push it down to clear and the pipe springs it back up. I don't think there is a ton of clearance, but it won't hit. I'll give that a try.
I have a ton of room where the bar bolts to strut tower, but on the end of the bar near the bumper where the bar goes over the filter itself is where I'm hitting. I've pushed down in that area with all my weight and the box just flexes. There is a grommet by the inlet to the airbox. I'm seated...
Anybody have clearance issues with the 2021 strut bar? Installed my Injen Evo2300 Evolution intake and the strut bar hits the airbox near the hump in the box where the filter fits in. I can bolt the strut bar down but it pushes down the airbox about 1/8" due to the strut bar interference...
Looks like MIssion Performance should be opening up shop since there is another player in town. RIGHT??? These are the same Russians that got Trump in office, I guess. They must have been busy working on this crack and forgot to rig the 2020 Election.
With the same non ethanol based fuel they both make equal power. Racechip is slightly easier to hook up as you don't run a wire in the car. Both are just sensor manipulators. The modify boost sensor to see less boost, DME asks for less wastegate to achieve perceived target boost value. End...
Hesitation is not normal. The Racechip devices like the Titan Protune usually are bulletproof units. I've had Racechips on the last 5 cars I've had. Buying them used is the best bang for the buck mod you can do IMO.
Unhook the negative lead on the battery for an hour. See if that fixes the car in stock form. You only change modes on the Protune with the engine not running. Not sure if that's your problem or not. Usually it should work fine. No modification of any signal occurs at idle.
Yes. I think it's a 9/16" or 5/8" that I used. Drill only deep enough so sensor will seat. You will see the minor diameter of the male threads on the fouler gets close to the drill bit size. If you go too deep with the 5/8" bit it may come thru. I then took a 3/8" or 1/2" drill bit and drilled...
I drilled it out to fit the sensor end of the O2 sensor. If not you can't get the sensor to screw into the fouler all the way. Also you need to drill all the way thru to make sure the sensor tip sees enough heat or it will throw a different code. It's a balance between cat efficiency code and...
I had a 1993 Supra TT and an HKS 4" Titanium exhaust. This Tomei sounds very similar to that HKS Titanium on my MKIV. This Tomei is not Honda like at all when you here it in person.
It's an DME swap... They figured out how to code an unlocked DME to work in a car that originally had a locked DME. That seems to be how they tuned the locked DME car.
