Yes, I know what Toyota “recommends”, that’s why OP posted this thread. Did you read the link I posted, or did you just jump in here to feel superior?
When every aircraft engine builder, automotive engine builder, and racing team recommends breaking in an engine the same way for very explicit...
Visconti has a billet replacement for the rear one since the stock ones are so easy to break:

No, boost is good for engine break in. Personally I try to avoid redline, but you should be getting into boost, medium and full throttle are good, along with engine braking.

He's not saying the BSI is actually detecting something and lighting up the LED when there's not a car there. He's saying that for some reason, Rexpeed decided to use an amber LED in an amber housing for the BSI, instead of an amber LED in a white/clear housing. The result is that when the sun...
I've only felt this once, when I warm-started the car, immediately put it in reverse to back out of my spot, then put it in drive and tried to accelerate but it hesitated and the throttle would barely respond.
Someone posted in one of those links mentioned above, a screenshot from the user's...
Why do you say that?
In my experience sport mode only upshifts when you get to ~3k RPM. It absolutely will shift into 7th, it does so every day when I'm on the freeway. Shifting to 8th would require cruising at ~95 mph in 7th to hit that RPM, which I haven't done, but I suspect if you did it...
How would you describe the HKS Super Turbo compared to stock (tone, volume, etc.)?
I plan on doing a downpipe first to see how it sounds with the stock exhaust, and then possibly adding a cat back after that. Right now the HKS Super Turbo is at the top of the list based on the little I’ve...
I was 16-17 when the first F&F movie came out in 2001, I was the target demographic of that movie. I loved it, and I loved the MKIV, I still do. I get all of the dream car, childhood memories arguments, but the MKV doesn't detract from that any more than modern muscle cars detract from classic...
I’ve never driven a car that got this much attention. Never negative, it’s always positive. Every single time I drive it I have people stopping me in parking lots to talk about it, people hanging out their window as they drive by to yell out “Nice Supra!”, etc.
The first time I drove it to...
There’s nothing as simple as an access port for this platform, mostly due the complexity and security built into the ECU. There are OTS tunes though, using platforms like BM3, ECUTek, etc., but the flashing process is more involved. Eastcoastsupra and speedindustry both have OTS ECUTek tunes...
The bolts are E14
I had mine powder coated matte black when I was doing the wheels, they charged me $40 to do the braces. Pics are on the daily thread here:

Wow, that's high
I just got mine powder coated earlier this week for $600 including removing and remounting the tires, balancing, rebuilding TPMS, etc.
It looks like this is pretty common, Visconti even sells an aluminum replacement

Ultra high performance summer tires are garbage below about 40 F. Throw a little bit of rain in there and the road turns to glass. At that point it's no longer about how you drive, it's simply a matter of luck.
I'll drive the Supra down to around 40 F, maybe 30 F if it's clear, dry, and sunny...
I ordered a Rexpeed V4 from Speed Industry on Apr 5. It shipped on Tues and was just delivered yesterday. Maybe good news for those of you still waiting?
Edit: It was the gloss version
It is, you’re overthinking it. Assuming you’re not going to lock the car, then:
1) shut off engine, open door, everything immediately turns off
2) open door, shut off engine, everything turns off after ~6 min
That’s it. Just leave, the car will take care of itself.
