Difficult to tell in the photos but I would expect they removed the hood inserts to ppf the hood versus cutting around the black trim.
I removed mine when wrapping the full hood…
I went with 35% charcoal on all windows less the front windshield and I opted for 50%.
No issue with the window drop. The professionals seal the tint well at the bottom edge.
May appear darker in some photos depending upon the angle. You can still see in the car and easily see out.
The easiest way is to hold the radio button in for a couple seconds to shut the cars electronics completely off.
No other default setting unfortunately.
~ I also have an otterbox case on my iPhone and have the magnetic plates just laying inside my phone between the cover / phone. The plates come with thin double sided tape if needed. The magnetic plates work well even with the thick phone case.
~ That’s unusual for mine has never fallen off… super tight and stable. I recommend the large scosche magnetic plate for your phone to adhere properly to the vent mount.
This is my favorite one which I selected… small not bulky, discrete, stable mount, clean design, doesn’t block the navigation or other controls, close to the drivers view, etc.
I also opted for a black blended short 12” cord for charging while on the magnetic vent mount.
~ Ditto … I have the same ones. Perfection at a fantastic price ($70), oem quality appearance and wind buffeting elimination.
Initially I tried the $10 cheap route of the gloss black door edge strip… helped to a degree but didn’t eliminate the wind buffeting at certain speeds.
~ I actually had my bmw mechanic complete the work. $75 for oem bmw horn and parts and $225 for labor. $300 total. His attention to detail is second to none.
I won’t have a car without it (especially if new) but I’m very particular about my cars. I enjoy driving them but also want to keep them as nice as humanly possible. My Supra is fully wrapped in xpel (all precut with the exception of the hood - xpel bulk film to wrap edges).
Our other 2 cars...
~ This was virtually a plug and play. The mounting hole is already in place near the existing horn.
If you order the bmw parts below… this makes things easy with the secondary horn plug harness and wires. You’ll have to splice into the original horn wiring with the new bmw wiring. Add shrink...
Finally my car has a real horn as of tonight!
I had my go to bmw mechanic order an oem low pitch bmw z4 horn. The front bumper did have to come off as others mentioned. Quite easy to do. If others want part numbers, let me know.
Wow what a difference!
