Unlocks for Ecutek are more because a flash license is used during the unlock procedure. the flash license is several hundred dollars by itself from Ecutek. Of course this cost is passed onto the Owner. and rightfully so.

I'm not sure but i think alaskan fuel is ethanol free. I may be wrong. But if you are going to move there and use 90oct. i would get a custom tunes that suits that fuel. the low octane and lack of ethanol (if indeed its ethanol free) would encourage knock more on the stock tune.
Hey whats up. downpipe is definitely a good buy. will free up some flow the help keep the turbo happier when making power. All the same? yes and no. Definitely a tune is a great choice to turn up the power, and get rid of some of the factory irregularities of the OEM tune.

yes torque can be limited and full control snd be able carry HP out to the top. Can be tailored pretty much however you want within the limitations of the turbo. the ECU in these cars is practically a standalone if the tuner understands how to use it instead of fighting against it.

they don't have bigger turbos,, and dont hold more boost persay. The power difference between the 20 and 21 stock for stock, comes SOLEY from the tune change from the factory to simply carry more boost to redline over 5000-5500rpm. whereas the 20 was tuned to taper off.
