The GTR was truly just a tune change and later a turbo inlet, the motor remained the same even now. That kinda job can be done in 1 hour in a garage. I cant speak on the other cars.
interesting I wonder if thats because the SS has been out for that much longer and has accumulated that much more reviews. I find the SS lacking in this car. But the sidewalls are a little stiffer on the SS vs mp4s imo. So for all out handling...not sure if this would be an upgrade
Anyone have insight as to why toyota went with the super sport vs 4s? When the mustang gt and ss, and a host of othet cars picked 4s...? The nee gt500 has sport cups. Ive had both and the 4s is better in every way... i dont get the decision here
yup you are 100% right on that, its going to clock better 0-60, 1/8th 1/4 mile times. And from a roll its going to be very obvious stock for stock mod for mod. Calling it now... real world testing... this new Supra from 40-140 is going to put about 3 cars+ on the 2020s
ouufffff....That IS a massive upgrade. This is a punch in the balls. I wonder what this is going to do for resale value. This motor is going to pants the current one pretty hard
ugh, thats for sure going to make more power mod for mod/tune. Its going to have better tuning potential, allow for nice flat tq curve... its going to walk a 2020 everytime all things being equal on top end, everytime...... I feel a bit like the s197 guys when the coyote hit. There is no way I...
I heard they retuned the dampers and some other stuff. The suspension stuff gets me lol
So Im guessing they went short runners vs long for the extra Hp —as the tq is negligible. I think they will run about the same mod for mod. Either way I never keep a car over 2 years
yes I know about the revised head, pistons alone wont make power...where does the actually power increase come from? The tune right? If so this isnt a big deal...
Only the suspension stuff irks me, people now calling the 2020 a good daily. Lmao
mod for mods they will run the same unless I...
I hear you, when I took my mine in for a Battery light check, they kept it for 9 hrs. Had toyota on the line, the special tech, and someone else for full documentation. And all they ended up doing was clearing the code and registering the battery? Must be a BMW thing
I cant see how this will be a problem, it will probably be the same Supra tech to handle all the Supra. Im willing to bet (cause I dont know yet) that the power increase is just modified ST. Maybe they need to hire a bmw MT to handle Supra LOLOL
I hope so, Ive been looking at those cusco piece now for a while, I love how the car handles already...so if they improved everything and the programming, yea IM a bit jelly
lol anyone who says they are not a little T'd off by the power increase and is driving a 2020 is lying.
good thing its not that major and I think modded both cars will run equal
what does interest me in the dampening tuning and the upgraded bracing
Just killed a major rattle, if you are hearing a rattle behind and just cant seem to pin point what it is.....Remove the 3rd brake like cover on the hatch. You have to give it a good pull to unclip it, straight back and out. Line it with electrical tape or foam tape/weather stripping and slap...
I used to get wheel hop all the time in my awd ttrs, it wasnt until I upgraded all the trans mounts, dogbone, and tires that it went away. And my Mustang was terrible lol. Wheel hop Was also the cause of some broken GTR trans, that never went too public but it was acknowledge by nissan. I hope...
