Yeah I’ll never get rid of the 80-series. The one I bought had 2 owners, one of whom owned it for 23 years, did all maintenance, and kept every receipt. Second owner was a Cruiser fanatic.
The few times I’ve significantly overstepped it in the Supra it has felt very natural to me. My last car...
It’s funny because I also have a 1993 Land Cruiser and I love the steering in it, surprisingly chatty. It also has 50/50 weight balance, which is fun.
Your build truly makes me teary-eyed with how *#%^ gorgeous it is.
So...given your no doubt rich experience with some truly epic cars, how much do you enjoy the modded Supra on road and track?
re: Singer - ikr? I love what they do with them though. Truly one of my mega jackpot dream cars.
As far as the Supra - having read some of your posts, I feel like we’re in a similar place. We’ve both dumped shit-tons of money into a car to try and max out a given platform. It’s fun to do. Once...
Some day I’ll own a 964. I was at an AX 2 years ago with a hopped up RS America. It sounded so glorious.
I’m excited to do this one stock. Next time she should have Cusco F+R sways plus their chassis braces. Will be interesting to see how much of a difference it all makes.
+1 on the request for a pic of them installed. I’ve used Weathertechs forever and the Supra is the first car where I’m underwhelmed. I’m on the taller side, and with my seat back there’s so much exposed carpet.
What I did to my Supra today, February US PNW edition:
Drove it carefully in rain pissing down at 39* F when what I really wanted to do was rail on it on the many amazing farm and woods roads right in my back yard. 400hp. RWD. Must. Have. Self. Control.
TBH I was shocked at how cheap some of the members here have been selling them. Forged 19x9 and 19x10 wheels - on 99.9% of car forums: take my $1500+ please!!
Minimal mods here. I’ve had highly modded cars before and, while fun, it’s a slippery slope for me.
The Supra is the first car I’ve owned where I don’t immediately start ripping off (perfectly good) stock parts and modding it.
Could I make it faster? Sure.
Would it make a difference to my...
I left foot brake my Supra.
Years ago I was learning to left foot brake for my 86. I practiced everytime I drove my Land Cruiser and it has been a habit in AT cars for me ever since.
What I like best about it is that it makes it easy to smooth out weight transfer (this really applies to my...
Welcome! Just finished my first 3 weeks with my new A91. It is an amazing car, so much fun.
Get ready for all the attention on the road and in parking lots.
