OE tread and wheel width are the same (255f/275r, 9f/10r). There is more sidewall with the 18s of course but practically speaking I doubt you will notice the slightly larger contact patch around town or even on a road course... Perhaps competitive autocross environment or maybe drag (think a lot...
I was at an autocross once and a guy had got a stone wedged in the valve stem *cap*. ?
It pressed the valve in but only when the cap was screwed on. We checked the valve stem (plus the rest of the tire/wheel of course) but with the cap off. What a tricky problem!
Today my obd dongle was delivered. Enabled start/stop memory, disabled active sound (holy crap what an improvement), did a couple other little things :)
Next question:
Is there a way to code Gs/oil/boost into sport displays? It is an option on z4 according to the bimmercode website but even if...
I’m not sure who will be more excited… magazine/youtube writers… or people in the 90s who made their DIY EVs using brushed forklift motors and lead acid batteries?
If it wasn't for my husband buying the i3 I wouldnt have started looking at the z4. If the supra didn't exist (hard body, price) I would have bought the z4. I like smaller cars but wanted more substantial than mx5 etc.
The actual "toyotas" I've owned have generally been terrible in the controls...
FWIW, both options are shown for this car on the bimmercode website. Actually I think the "memory" would be ideal for me, so if I want to use the feature I could still turn it on.

I'm on the fence on whether to purchase bimmercode + dongle or not. I also want to turn off asd but I could just unplug that.
I was going to buy it for the i3 to enable the rex menu but the previous owner had already done it.
I came very close to buying the i4 instead of supra. But I like smaller cars and more practically, don't drive enough to make having two ev worth my state's alt fuel fees. Would love to see a sports bev in 8-10 years to trade the supra on. If they have an "i2" perhaps based on the new 230 I...
Sure for tastes there are colors. Enthusiasts being people that care what machine they drive and like to have it modified perhaps or get some identity or ego from it. It's all the same, still marketing.
Some of us sit in the office and look at the brochure of the car on the racetrack with tire...
I love my EV but trying to proselytize some automotive fuel vs. another is really wierd. Every single car on that list is gasoline which is by far the most popular fuel for cars in this country. So I don't see how fuel type is relevant to this discussion anyways.
The modern enthusiast market is...
I bought a prius prime from carvana and the front right bumper was resprayed poorly and full of filler. Bought i3 from them and the windshield had a big crack, which they did get replaced pretty quickly (thru safelite, with BMW glass). They cycled through 3 states worth of temp tags on the i3...
... z4?
I was looking at z4 first actually but didn't want another convertible. But if you want an open car like the Supra, it exists.
I thought these guys did a good job comparing the two, if you don't mind subtitles. "Like twins but raised in different family" lol:
