I ran a set of aluminum paddles for a while. Switched to the BMW OEM carbon fiber paddles. Night and day difference. They latter are so high quality, feel great, and the fit is, as you would expect, OEM. Expensive as hell but worth it, to me. Highly recommended.
E36 BMW M3. Bought it new in '99. Optioned out with the wing and lighter, optional wheels. Silver. Would be my track car today if I held onto it. Stupid, stupid decision to get rid of it for something more practical... when I could have just bought the other car in addition to keeping it. Was...
This thread has made me sad all over again that I wasn't able to get windows into my garage design in time for construction. Man that must be nice having some natural light in there with the door(s) closed.
I was like damn that MFer didn't get out of first gear forever with all the tire spin in his slow ass car and then remembered all you drag guys start in 2nd gear.
Nice! I think I'm just too traumatized by my experience with the Eventuri intake to trust the silicone inlet pipe being attached to the inlet with a clamp (kept popping off when the motor torqued - but I had fitment considerations because of an AOS). In fact, it's the only reason why I went with...
Nice vette. It's hard to argue with the C7 Z06. It was one of the cars on my short list at #3. So fun to drive and fast as hell, even without the "right" upgrades.
Got the replacement parts for the damaged stuff. Meant to post this earlier but my house has been a damn leper colony lately - can't stay healthy! I had noticed something while the car was sitting taken apart for a while. There seems to be a large hole at the bottom of the MST heatshield...
As a follow-up to this, fitment was perfect, and it is... a bit loud. I got this piece put on along with a lot of other stuff, but this was the only thing motor-related that would have increased power. Even without redoing the JB4 map for it, the car feels much quicker with the catless downpipe...
I, for one, am super pumped to see GM come to the table through Cadillac and possibly enter the sport. And yeah, an American team entering the sport right now is a no-brainer. It does not appear the fervor for F1 DTS has created in the US is likely to subside anytime soon. I'm not sure "win on...
I haven't read about your service - I'm sure the information is somewhere - but do you offer any kind of insurance against lost/stolen/damaged/etc. ECUs?
Hell yes I did. To be fair, they left it at my house. At work, I was tagged with the nickname "the mailman" for reasons. One of my coworkers bought a real, old, nasty, sweaty USPS hat from some guy online and gave it to me as a joke. I was like dude you just bought stolen government property and...
@Louaye @EPC how do the incoming/outgoing customs process work for you while you're traveling back and forth? Ever had an issue (that you're willing to disclose)?
NO WAIT. I just went to go check, and apparently one of the motor mounts had a very small puncture in it and leaked itself all over the US Mail tub I (thankfully) had it and some other old parts sitting in. So I can only offer one stock motor mount.
