I was trying to get one for my new computer build and was up an hour before release constantly hitting refresh, and when the sites went from coming soon they instantly went to sold out.
I don't know if you looked into the remnant performance exhaust or not. It isn't valved so if that's a hard no not to have I wouldn't recommend it. I have it on my car and it was easy to install and has tons of adjustments to help center your exhaust tips. It also gets rid of that choke point...
I would think single exit exhausts wouldn't have them because when the valve was closed you would have an engine brake. That would be unless it had some crazy pipe design to just change the tone.
Seems normal to me. I think what you are hearing is the starter disengaging right before it starts. I'm guessing it's one of those strange times the dme says stop turning the engine its going to fire when the cranking rpm is not full speed. So it has a tiny pause of no sound.
It would make oil cheaper if there was still enough demand for it. If demand shrank so much that companies lose money they would quit acquiring it causing supply to drop drastically and could cause it to be even more expensive.
