Shame I missed you all, I’m too much of a coward to track the Supra so I was over at the Trackdaze event on main with some friends and my Miata. I know I saw you a couple of times through the trees off turn one of main.
I didn’t notice what I assume was some drops of soap that got on the inside of the passenger window after washing. Left on a trip for a week and it baked. When I got back I noticed the spots and went to clean them, found whatever was on the glass etched those spots. So there are about 15 tiny...
As far as I can see, the part number for the Supra part is 87810-WAA04. Not sure of any for sale unless you snag it out of a wrecked one, but best of luck finding it.
Well I missed this one, but I did see a certain red, white, blue, and black Supra signed up for SCCA Time Trials Saturday. Along with a couple less colorful ones running various HPDE groups. Looks like a nice weekend too. Can't wait to see you all there, even if I will be the disappointment of...
Planning to be down at Dominion on the 8th and 9th of April for the SCCA event in the Miata. Also trying to talk a couple of co workers into bringing their C8 and e28 M5.
I agree with the Conti DWS 06+ I have a set on a second set of set of rims for when the temps start staying below 40f regularly. Not going to hold up to a launch like a good set of summers will but will stick well enough even when cold, and you can get around in some light snow without too much...
Hot damn. You don’t hear 3.8 and turbo together all that often regarding the coupes. I had a 13 3.8 Track that was what got me into HPDEs and sports cars.
That thing has got to be a bundle of fun.
I'll second the recommendation for sport individual with just the engine setting turned off. I was having trouble rolling into the throttle on corner exit and had traction control wagging its finger at me. Turning it off was more consistent for me.
Agree with all the traffic safety nannies off...
Hit up a Cars and Cigars with a friend, and a couple friends of said friend. Friend brought out his C8 which was a dime a dozen there, friend of a friend bought out something that was finally delivered recently and is a little less common.
Only saw a few other Supras, one white, one yellow...
Glad you got something. I sent about five emails varying between, “hey it’s been a couple of weeks any updates?”, “it’s been a couple of months can you please at least let me know you still make this part?”, and “can you save me the time of doing a chargeback and just refund me please?” Over the...
I’m gonna give a recommendation to just forget this option exists. I paid them $550 for a a91 replica on March 1 this year due to people saying their fitment was great. I was willing to wait a while but as of today I still have nothing to show for it other then a charge for $550. I have sent a...
I was at main there in June for the NASA event and I can agree that it was great there. Trusting the car to make it through turn 4 at crazy speeds followed by rocketing through 10 and riding the pavement all the way to, and sometimes past the kerbing was a great time.
I wish I could continue to...
That looks a whole lot like Summit Shenandoah if I’m not mistaken.
If I am, ignore this, if not, how’s the Supra on a tighter course like that?
I know my genesis could get a little hop on the bridge straight, and the carousel was always fun.
Any tips on the install? I got mine about a month ago and it is very close to being on correctly, but I am not centered. It’s hard to see without getting up close but the left side doesn’t sit flush with the body when it did when I was test fitting.
I tried to place some tape beforehand and...
Customer service was good but I will concur on the taking longer then expected. I didn’t feel I could hold that against them because my case was during the middle of covid restrictions. My delay in particular come from them allegedly receiving multiple door skins that were damaged or not up to...
When my Fiat got t-boned I had a really good experience with D&V Autobody in Sterling.
Other then noticing that the paint coverage was actually better on that door then the oem paint on the other door when I put it up on a lift. I wouldn’t have known that it was ever done.
So I got done having a great time with NASA and the other Supras and 86s this weekend, had a great time and met some great people.
NASA put on a great event and kept to the schedule very well. Only major incidents were a 86 blowing up his motor at less then 5k miles, a Mini Coopers axle went...
So I’ll have further updates and pictures from the weekend to follow. But to answer the burning question on everyone’s mind. The guy who brought the Polestar 2 to the Toyota GR Experience said he sold his Supra after four months because it didn’t make a great commuter and gas prices were going...
