Toyota doesn't do factory orders.
That said, dealerships can still try to get you the configuration and color you want, but they technically can't just order it and have the factory make and ship it to them. They are working with an allocation system and/or transferring from another dealership...
(Price drop as I'd like the reclaim the space in my garage)
Selling my OEM two-tone wheels. Set of 4. Swapped them out at about 5k miles.
Rear right has a bit of curb rash.
Please make sure to check photos if interested, I've included some close-ups.
No tires or TPMS. $500 $400
I'm located...
Wheels: Transfer tires from my old wheels to my new wheels + transfer TPMS. Balance, pressure etc.
Brakes: Swapped in some new PowerStop Z16 pads to replace OEM pads. There was a slight hiccup with brake wear sensors (I didn't even know that was a thing...) but they were able to re-use the OEM...
Circling back here to report mShop in Kirkland did a fantastic job on the wheels, brakes and alignment. Would highly recommend. :thumbsup:
Kudos to @romanLegion9574 for recommending them to me in the first place too!
Dropped the Surpa off at the shop yesterday for some work:
* Gunmetal grey powdered coated OEM wheels, curtesy of @Loco38SUP
* PowerStop Z16 brake pads
* Much needed alignment
Really happy with the wheels. Brakes feel fine, not quite as much bite as OEM but I'm looking forward to less brake dust.
I know you can use bimmercode to just always start up in Sport mode - I am curious if this is harder on the engine on cold starts, especially in colder weather? I usually try to let the car get up to operating temperature in normal mode before switching to sport, but I don't have any real data...
I bought my 2021 from Toyota of Bellingham about a year ago, and the buying experience there was A+, absolutely no hassles or bullshit at all. Not sure if they count as "in the area" given how far north they are, but I'd recommend them (specifically Jacob A).
Can't vouch for their service...
I had actually gotten a quote from TruLine before I got in contact with mShop. TrueLine quoted me $231 for alignment, which is probably on the higher end but still seems reasonable to me for quality work.
I've got an appointment today with mShop to get some work done, will let you know how it goes.
They quoted me $180 for alignment, but said they would only charge $75 if alignment ends up not needing any adjustments.
Yea, I've seen the half cover before on cars with the manifold, but it often looks a bit janky (read: looks like you just cut half of it off) and I am surprised how much more professional it looks with the trim on the edge.
I wouldn't trust the dealership to do PPF, plus it sounds like they outsource it anyways.
When I was researching places to get mine done last year, Metropolitan Detail in Redmond sounded like the place with the highest quality work - but also some of the highest prices... I expect you get what...
I have Turbulence Gray, which I really love. It looks especially great under low light: I'm always surprised how unique it looks at night in a parking lot with street lamps due to the lighting.
When I was shopping, I got to look closely at Red, Tungsten and Yellow.
Red: looks good, but its a...
IMO it is hard to score the interior until folks have actually owned and lived with the car. I owned a 370Z for about 7 years and it rattled, squeaked and overall didn't feel super well put together. I worry because the new interior looks almost exactly the same, with new electronics but...
