I think you guessed right. Considering the fact that the MKIV did not have fake vent, I don't think the MKV would. Although, it might not be entirely open but I fill like there might be some small opening. Otherwise add that to the MOD list.

I know about the CF roof. That's why am guessing maybe the addition of a sunroof was what added weight to the car. Maybe one of the marketing genius said a sunroof would be good especially if the car wont have a targa top.

I don't think your mind is playing tricks on you. No matter what toyota wants to do, the effect on lexus would still be considered. With that been said, A 60k supra to me still dont make sense unless Lexus has plans of discontinuing the RC. You have to remember when the MKIV was released there...
