I just called Toyota corporate. They said, âAll of the Launch Edition cars should have been at the dealers on Monday.â
When I explained my situation they called the distribution center and the dealership I am working with.
Same story: Car has left the holding area in Chicago, but we have no...
I am in the process of booking a one-way flight back home and not flying back out here to get my car until it arrives....who knows when that will be.:banghead:
I am just sitting in a friends basement, 1000 miles from home waiting for the dealer to call and tell me the car has arrived and is ready....not sure how long I will stay hunkered down before waiving the white flag and getting a flight home...
Glad that isnât my dealership. Seriously, with all phone in everyoneâs pockets, what are these dealerships thinking??
Maybe this was the new owner show-boating...I guess if that was the case, who cares, but if this is just employees screwing around, that would really be a shame.

Starting to think some of these deliveries are going to be delayed...
Seems dealerships arenât willing to set a firm delivery appointment and some donât even know where the car is in the delivery process...

Not âtwo weeksâ for the full coverage...
Agreed, and I should clarify. He said âup to 8k.â I set up the appointment about 2 months ago. I believe he gave me a range, my mind grabbed onto the 8k number and my decision to not fully wrap it was made.
I figured if I really wanted to, I could have the rest wrapped later on. My...
I was quoted around 8k-ish for the whole thing.
I decided on full hood, front bumper, mirrors and fenders for 1500ish.
The above prices include window tinting as well.
Installer said he wonât know the price for sure until he gets working on the car...obviously this will be one of, if not, his...
Well, I placed my bets on the 22nd...hoping that was a safe bet.
Heywood, you are in the Chicago region, correct? Does that likely mean that most other cars for that region are suffering from the same ETA issues?
