A stock 2020 on 93 made 330whp/350wtq on our dyno. 91 octane will typically make about 20whp/20wtq less.
Tune only we see 380whp/500wtq ..... so 91, youd be around 310whp/330wtq stock, then 360whp/480wtq tuned.
Let me know if I can assist or if you have any questions.
Youll need hardware from one of the tuning platforms to check. You can always purchase an ecutek programming kit, then checking on takes about 15 seconds on the phone app.
I havent confirmed if theyre able to change the security on them via just flash not. But if your early 2020 was locked and you've recently taken it in for an update, it will be locked, but can be unlocked via bench flash, just like late 2020/early 21 models.
Yes. If the dealer flashes the car with an update. Itll lock the ECU. Are they able to change the security system on it to where it can no be unlocked via bench flash like some current 20/21 models? Im unsure yet, but im sure John would know.
Some people claim a specific build date. Before making any large purchase, id certainly check the Cal ID first. This can be done with any ecutek module. No need to send in the ECU to check.
** EMERGENCY POST **
We were asked not to talk about it, but it’ll end up going public soon anyways.
Upon earlier this week, we received our first A91 (that i know of in the world) to be tuned. Sending his ECU in to us to be unlocked, we came across some information thats never been seen...
Are you looking for catted or catless?
Catted, we only recommend AMS. Its the only one we've seen not have any issues at all.
Catless, theyre all essentially the same but there is for sure some quality differences. We carry and stock multiple brands and ams for catted. Feel free to reach out...
You have 1 tune. The flex fuel sensor tells the ECU how much ethanol is in the tank and that 1 tune can fully adjust all on its own regardless if you put 91 or E50 in the car.
You can have a 1/4 tank of 91, be driving along and see an ethanol gas station, stop in and fill up and keep right on...
I sale them for a long time friend of mine. Hes produced them for me for about 9 of my cars along with dozens of friends ive sent to him. I tried sending customers to him directly, but hes so busy with the manufacturing side of things, he requested I handle any sales.
So of course when I...
Absolutely no need.
1. You dont want to run over ~E50. The stock fuel system is going to max out here. You can run higher ethanol percent, but you will only make less power.
2. With flex fuel, you have 1 tune file. That 1 tune file will automatically compensate for all ethanol percentages...
PSA for EVERYONE.
Two things here:
1. Please do not let a tuner/shop/parts reseller sell you an EcuTek Kit with the intentions to tune your car without mentioning the possibility of your ECU being locked first. People do not unlock ECU's for EcuTek for free. It is an expense and it is not...
