How are you cleaning your engine cover? It's not a smooth surface and I find it hard to wipe down. I was thinking about taking it right off and washing it with a wash mitt and car soap and water. What are others here doing to clean it?

Installed a Blitz engine bay strut brace today. Also installed Supra Emblem and Gazoo Racing Emblem.

I did a little modification to my interior accessory port cover. I added a BMW emblem to it. If it's going to be just sitting there in my interior it might as well have a BMW emblem on it.

Is it necessary to have BimmerLink to do a battery replacement youself without bringing to a dealer?

Added some Carbon Fiber and an aluminum Performance emblem to steering wheel today

No problem getting my original cover off. Insert plastic molding tool into center and split the two halves apart.

Owners manual says this " The vehicle manufacturer recommends using coolant with the BMW LC-18 specification. " That's what I would use.

My cover fits perfect, there is no gap in the center. It snapped together perfectly and is tight. I ordered it from their website fitcamx.com

Thanks for your replies, doing more research I guess the 2020 model year didn't even have them. They started using the brace in 2021 model year. So, I would guess the torque spec isn't that critical.

Does anyone happen to know the torque spec for the OEM aluminum engine compartment strut braces? I removed mine to paint them and would much rather torque them to the proper spec rather than just tighten them down.
