I bought the part from a great guy on here, Mimosa gently used with 3000 miles on them.
I had a new friend install them for $300. The braking feels a bit more stronger and it adds 35 lbs to our cars unfortunately but I'm happy.
You are right though the 2.0 is lacking aftermarket parts in intakes(2 takeda and ftp) exhausts(2 takeda and FI)downpipes(2 FunctionWerk and FI) while the 3.0 has like 7-16 of each of those areas mentioned.
So I have base set to 8, psi boost set to 3 and slope set to 4 on the turbo transformer because that's as safe as you can go says the owner of TT.
Secondly, I love the Takeda intake. It's makes lovely induction noises with some enhanced turbo noises. At first I was not happy about paying $400...
I just installed this downpipe paired with a muffler delete/takeda CAI/and a Turbo Transformer piggy back tuned to +3 psi! It's insane how quick my car feels now. I was making 22.5 psi before the downpipe addition and now it's 25.5 psi with it on 93 shell v power.
So I find these figures interesting. Now a 370z Nismo is not a 2023 Z but the Z comes with a more heavier motor. The 370Z has a heavier front end than a 3.0 Supra and way more heavier than the 2.0 along with a worse F/R balance. I believe the Supra will not only be quicker but it'll out handle...
I wouldn't underestimate the Z pricing. Many people want a "bang for buck" and the manual. I'm fine with my Supra but it isn't a sales winner which I kind of like. It keeps it rare but I feel the Z was made for the American market/mentality of the average car guy here more than the Supra.
The problem is the 2.0 is more like a FD RX7 because your RX8 was rather torque less and have similar performance to a 86/BRZ. If the RX8 had 295 lb ft of torque it would've been even better. The 2.0 makes sense everywhere. If it were N/A with a torque less motor I would completely agree with...
The 2.0 makes sense to those who don't see the Supra as only a straight line car though. I'm assuming you've never owned or driven a BRZ/86? I owned one right before my Supra for 6 years and was boosted to 300whp/255wtq yet for some reason my 2.0 still felt quicker. The people who will buy a...
A sporty, low slung and sleek shaped vehicle looks massively odd with a rectangle grille. Rectangle grilles work well with boxy styled vehicles like a Challenger or a box Chevy. The GR86 front grille has sleeker edges around it despite the grille having an almost rectangle shape. I think the...
I have to report something that doesn't make sense to me. I turned off the TT to see what stock boost is like at max psi and it made about 21 psi on stock settings and the acceleration felt like the stock setup without the overwhelming violent thrust. I was told by many on here that max stock...
I actually had the option of waiting for the Z or getting the Supra but what sold me on the Supra over the Z was looks.
Rear end I like both but the Supra's rear was far more appealing. Supra = 10/ Z = 7
Side profile was a hit between both cars Supra = 10/Z =10
Front view is where it cost the...
