he's talking about the track version... it has 5 inch oval midsection with no resonators and no mufflers?? how do you expect it to be quite or drone free when it's legit just a stainless exhaust muffling 0 sound. there is literally a warning on the AWE product page telling you that it's...
i will say the phantom matte metallic is very impressive paint work to see in person i've only ever seen one in the wild and it was definitely crazy level of oem paint it's truly MATTE not satin like most of the bmw frozen colours that look like they're missing the clear coat...
as i posted above its a modified catless downpipe and catback with an otherwise stock 2022 supra. Trust me i was plenty shocked myself but i've backed the number up with a few passes i also ran 11.9 @ 122mph during the same session on a slightly worse 1.9 60ft this was all done in 30 plus degree...
i cant post them later i dont have them on me but
car went from a 12.04 @ 115 with a 1.8 60ft before the exhaust
it went down to 11.78 @ 120 with a 1.8 60ft after the exhaust
catless downpipe & AWE resonated touring.
i would say it's definitely different between 2000-3500rpm with partial to half throttle, or rolling into like 5th gear to pass someone. It threw me off at first but under heavy throttle or full throttle the sound is incredible i get soo many compliments on my exhaust its nuts even other b58...
for me i wanted the awe before i even got the car i watched their fly by video like 20 times on youtube waiting till i had my supra i also didn't really like the valve so it made the choice a lot easier!
the only thing ive noticed from running a big downpipe and exhaust on the stock tune is if you floor it from a dead stop with no brake boost it seems like it hesitates for the slightest second because there is basically zero back pressure maybe the computer doesnt know what to due.
- i've...
basically it has a much finer control of cutting power so i can keep you on the cusp of traction without loosing power. i come from honda's so im pretty familiar with these type of systems and they help a lot.
imagine your stock T/C is a sledge hammer whacking away at the power level...
normally if your on lowering springs it will be a stiffer spring so less travel to begin with because its sitting lower. you also get less squat or weight transfer which if your focus is on going straight is pretty important the supra does a very good job at this with the stock suspension most...
i mean this isn't really true...
-expensive? yes.
-performance? it's the only aftermarket exhaust with a 5 inch oval and comes with 3.5 opening to give you room if you'd like to run a bigger downpipe and all of the dual sections are 3.5 inch?? i don't see how it's not one of the best...
@Jhand01 LOL just to chime in im 6'3 and 270 pounds (muscle, not fat. no gut in the way of the wheel it makes a difference with seating position) i've found moving the wheel up and sitting closer helps a lot with having room to recline more. i wear a 34 leg pant and can still sit pretty close to...
that was there rule of thumb they passed on to me when i asked about switching oil because i would change my oil after 7000km of daily driving (albeit with a much heavier than normal foot on the gas) and it would come out BLACK and would start to burn oil.
they said 5-40 isn't good for places...
