@Cfdproductions - About how much power do you think you make? I saw the mods but wonder if you've got an estimate? 500hp? I'm kind of curious how much the stock clutch can handle (or, not handle, obviously you've gone beyond it).
LOL
Now that you flipped it, that does look like a valve up top with an interesting portion of it seemingly torn away. Then you have an area where the compression ring never quite makes it, followed by where they do. I want to call that honing crosshatch but i don't think that's what they...
It's a given the head has to come off. Once it's off you can rotate the crank and move the pistons to check the full length of the bore with your own eyes. It means it takes more time if you have to revise your plans after the car's getting disassembled, delaying the decision on needing a block...
Maybe, maybe not. Not because it's actually worth that, but because the person who buys it is probably surrounded by people who kiss a lot of @$$ snd make the same dumb decisions. Then for some inexplicable reason in a few years the same crowd will buy it off said person for double.
Regarding the car switches for the drivers, I'm sure things can be revised at least a little to suit their preferences but generally speaking - muscle memory is a hell of a thing. Can you imagine so many years of very intense concentration from practices, qualifying, and race days to move to an...
Z4 has options for flashing and sounds both, on or off, for lock / unlock "confirmation". I looked at the Supra manual, thinking it had to be the same, but it showed only the flashing option to set, not sounds.
You might consider trying to test fit them somehow - be sure they clear the brakes and struts both in the front. Pop one on the front of the car in the driveway of the seller if it's not too crazy to ask.
I did a square 255/35-19 on some Aodhan AFF7 wheels with ET 35 on my Z4 recently, and had...
That's pretty cool then, I always wondered how that was delivered to the amp. If it's analog, it's kind of like running down a separate "wire". If it's digital... it's picked out somehow?
Odd, just metal on metal?
I feel like every plug I've ever touched on any BMW underneath has always had a green O-ring gasket (aside from engine oil drain and the copper washer). You are correct here that no gasket is included but it makes me ask if it's just metal to metal that they are...
One thing with the right amp is gaining DSP control. Individual gain adjustments for each speaker set, choosing your own crossover points, and even adjusting the timing of the speakers to try and reduce any nulls in the response all help a lot, in addition to some extra power of course. If you...
Yep, if the coolant is low, you'll be shooting air bubbles through the system, and they could be super hot. If filling is needed be sure to use the right stuff and that it's mixed correctly as well (usually 50:50 with DI or RO water, i.e. from a grocery store, if it's not already pre-mixed)...
Do you mind expanding on that a little bit? Direct 1:1 swap-out for the cables, or did you get an adapter from Technic or somewhere else? Did you take advantage of the sub output? Any issues with super loud fake engine noises or gongs?
I would agree. You'll typically want it able to boil off any accumulated water vapor, so above 212F give or take depending on your altitude. 220F or so would be a good start. But not too high or the oil will have an earlier death and need for replacement.
In cold climates you might opt for the bigger CCA (cold cranking amps), or if you listen to the stereo for an extended period of time with the car off go for the Ah Amp hours. If you don't care too much about either of those, go for price.
There are kind of 2 things to code: 1) The simple fact...
Your bank will often assume transactions are legit, accept them, then find out later it was a scam and reverse it all.
I've had something like this work when we both had the same bank. Then it was clear they had the money and it was actually moved over to me. And another time where I was paid...
Try hitting start without your foot on the brake. It'll fire up the electronics but not actually start the car. The parking brake functions, and I'm pretty sure steering will work as well.
