Now that it's been unplugged for a while, do you still smell anything?
I can't think how the CTEK would do something but obviously if there's a commonality to it being plugged in then it seems like something could be up.
Are you 100% sure it's connected properly? The connections and related...
You might consider putting things back to how they were as a troubleshooting step. not long term necessarily but just to be 100% sure it's related to this. I mean - it's kind of 95% sure but there's a chance something else is going on - maybe a sensor got wires pulled too hard or not reconnected...
Yeah, I was just thinking that once those were disconnected and set up properly (and probably with CEL's coded out), that removing the cannister itself would be trivial. But perhaps not, and if not then my apologies.
Was trying to think how the 2 things (this and fuel cuts) were related but it...
Stating the obvious perhaps, there are kits for this, if you dont' get one maybe at least see how they work to imitate. Kern also has a video on one I believe for his B58 340i that might be worth finding.
I once built a little voltage divider with small resistors so that I could convert the battery 12V to the 9V needed for a door opener. Then put it up high in the dash, and soldered wires I ran to the center console. Drilled a small hole and installed a button. It actually worked really well...
Maryville, just SW of Knoxville, isn't bad. You get a view of the mountains and generally everything you need. Can still get into Knoxville in ~ 30min if you need particular stores or for concerts and better restaurants.
(I don't live there but have family there and have visited nearly annually...
Good points. Also to be clear I only meant Aston Martin feeling like giving up for the year, not Cadillac, though I see that it didn't really read that way. Yeah for a brand new car and a brand new team they are probably having the time of their lives.
Mercedes and Toto (and Kimi, possibly Russel) must just be ecstatic right now, I wonder if Hamilton questions his departure at all. Ferrari must be feeling how close they are to some wins but not quite. McLaren's run was awesome while it lasted (and of course the top 3 could still shuffle...
I saw this. I think he said it to the reporter himself, but - yeah.
I'm not on the bandwagon of him always being an a-hole (sometimes it seems like he's a pretty good guy), but have to say that sometimes he sure is.
Very curious to see if Ferrari continues to dominate the starts, and if...
It would seem if they aren't stretched (i.e. super high torques or some torque + 90 degrees turn for example) they can be reused. Regarding bolt integrity anyhow. However -
I would only caution to check the type of bolt and the top perch for the spring itself - BMW loves to make those things...
If you can't swing the payments, first off congrats for being realistic. For selling it, generally speaking put it back to stock if it isn't already, do a great job cleaning it up to look good, and shop around for what you can get for it - the used car places that buy and resell, the dealer as a...

I did a ctrl+F find and it mentions coilovers 14 times.
In case you saw the wrong document.
Point being, they've covered their wheel...
The Apex website has a dedicated page all about various fitments and the details to make some of them work - tire sizes, coilovers or not. Have you read it? If not, FYI you should go look for it.
Seems you have what you need, just have to make a decision. It'll probably be fine, but a small chance it won't be. How good of a deal is the car and do you feel like gambling.
I'd try to have some guarantee about the paint under the wrap, even if it was all done correctly maybe there's a problem being covered up. And since no one will guarantee anything... I'd tend to stay away from it. Or, negotiate for the deal of the century if possible. See how long the car has...
Every car I've ever changed it on I've always gone OEM. I'm not a "only use OEM" kind of person but for diffs, transfer cases (when applicable) and so on - there are so many varieties I just don't feel the need to out-think the people that designed the car. I'm certain other options would be...
