  1. Rapid Designs A90 Supra Differential Brace

Pictures aren't as good as measurements, but it's not looking good. Thanks for the reply though. Once it's warmer and I'm swapping the wheels over to the summer setup I'll get under there with a ruler and make a more official confirmation. Maybe there will be a 3rd group buy some day given how...
  2. Incoming recall for 2021-2023 Supras

There might be another thread with the same subject? Either way, mostly B48's, also some B58's, including Supras. There's a VIN checker for anyone who wants to see if they are affected. They replace the starter itself, located under the car. Fire hazard, apparently. Some people have had it...
  3. Rapid Designs A90 Supra Differential Brace

Evan, do you happen to know if any previous sales went to G29 Z4 owners? To be able to follow up on fitment. We've got a rather crazy bracing system under our cars, and I'm only just now realizing (thanks to another Z4 owner) that there's a decent chance of interference here.
  4. What did you do to your Supra today?

Indeed you are right. Seems very few B58's, but there are some. '20-'22 for Supra would be worth checking on.
  5. What did you do to your Supra today?

It is indeed only for those. Of course, some Supras do have B48's. It was announced a few months back, dealers seem to finally have replacement parts now and can do the work. Theoretically you park outside until then. I think they replace the starter itself. What a PITA to do to a huge number...
  6. Drivetrain/trans malfunction

That doesn't seem right, Bimmerlink usually shows like a bajillion stored codes for the smallest things that happened just once. You might want to make a list of everything it found historically, just in case (screen shots perhaps). Then clear them all, then start the car again and try to drive...
  7. A90 Supra, Just lowered, Now Parking break malfunction. Need help.

Get the ECU back Clear the codes Try using the car normally See what comes back and go from there
  8. Why I needed a master brake cylinder brace...

Interesting, because my X3 pads are apparently too small and I only ever get a more of a "clink" noise form them. I hear it when I brake in reverse, the first time I brake going forward after that, the next time I brake in reverse again, and so on. You clunking noise is more pronounced and also...
  9. PLEASE HELP!!!Car running lean after installing downpipe

It could be either of these things, allowing ambient air to get sucked in as the exhaust goes by, and the sensor is sensing it. No guarantees but possible.
  10. Need lowering spring recommendations

But it does take effort, you click it, read it, wonder if you might be helpful, then decide what to do when you realize someone's just being lazy. There's no forum feature that can tell you to ignore something. But, there is a Search button! It's there for a reason. No, you're thinking a reply...
  11. Need lowering spring recommendations

You must be new to the internet? There's so much good info already shared. Repetitive posts just turn people away, especially the ones that have been around the longest and actually know the most, and have already taken their time to share. Not just for the thread, but the site in general.
  12. Windshield laminate layer "glitter" when facing the sun

If you're up for any DIY work, try claying it. If you're planning to coat it anyhow, and aren't planning to DIY it, then yeah just let them have the whole thing if they plan to polish and etc. anyhow.
  13. Crankshaft Breather Hose

    Maybe: https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/products/hps-quarter-inch-silicone-90-degree-elbow-coupler-hose-high-temp-reinforced-6mm?srsltid=AfmBOoqoHKfk0qQDxmD_W1Ce1QmEzP_Uy9rBfpi6UmRMdDh8eF1xK607 or...
  14. 2024 MT MHD Stg 2+ Strange Intermittent Boost Issues. Limp Mode?

You quoted a post nearing 2 months old, so you could complain that someone liked the change in clutch feel after removing the restrictors in the CDV? You've acknowledged that it can change how it feels, so why is it you can't ever turn down an opportunity to comment when someone notices or...
  15. Supra (?) Rogue Engineering Short Shifter

I know I could email Rogue (they seem to actually reply) but will ask here first. Any ideas on either of these, the reasoning? It's interesting that the ball height is adjustable, it would appear you can set it wherever you want. You'd want to be sure things don't get too far out of alignment...
  16. Suspension squeaking in cold temps expected? Looking for some expert takes.

I want to say the end links swivel all directions and can rotate and don't have to be torqued at ride height (unlike control arms for example which must be at the chassis) but could be wrong. No matter though if you did it at ride height anyhow, good practice if in doubt. In my experience they...
  17. Cross traffic allert malfunction

All the above. BMW electronics will go nuts with bad batteries. You might want to replace it, but if you do, you need to drive the car more often and for longer distances. Or get a charger, or both. You could start with the charger and see if it brings the battery back to life. Then replace if...
  18. Question about seat belts

Nice straw man. "I happen to work with the William Leham Injury Center doing research on crash safety equipment with BMW for over 2 decades." does however = qualified to discuss seat belts, which is the topic here per the thread title.
  19. Found Another Way to Break the Supra

FWIW, something like this seems to make sense. The DME gets inputs from a number of other controllers, and if one of them is flaky, then it seems like it could have a chain reaction. Flickering headlights, dash lights... I'm trying to think if they could share a common thing like thinking that...
