I wondered about that, but was thinking it might be tight through the whole range. Had the effect of not wanting to return to center, because that inherent tendency was maybe weakest as it got closer to the center and was finally overcome. I really don't know though, never messed with adjusting one.
Troubleshooting related, if you're able to find a gentle curve to drive sometime, and the wheel is at a sustained angle for a while. does it do this same effect but at the new angle? Or only when it passes through "straight" driving?
I'm wondering if it does takes this set / has this issue at a...
I missed the tank level for sure.
On the codes, I wasn't clear, but meant to try scanning again if this mechanic had a generic code reader. I feel like anyone with a car with a BMW engine should have Bimmerlink to do the best job. You can go from zero codes on a generic reader to suddenly...
There's a chance there's a code associated. Even if it didn't do a light on the dash there may have been something stored indicating what it didn't like, assuming that the ECU cut power because it didn't like something (it might not have done so).
Interesting that power came back quickly, that...
I didn't think it was worth a new thread, so I'll post it here. Seems like Dinan is coming up with an option for us as well.

You need to press old bushings out but it looks like you slip-fit, Loctite, and bolt...
Like Max or no it's a mental hurdle for anyone not to think he's currently the most talented driver out there.
I got online to see what time the race was and of course it's already over. I don't get any channels that air it, I normally have to keep refreshing the F1 site for lap-by-lap updates...
It'll be a good one, for sure. Nice to not have the winner be obvious.
I'm betting Norris is nervous as hell, though it looks like he was fine in practice. Regardless if Max comes in 1st or not, the 100+ point gap he closed helps cement him as one of the GOATs.
Did they have measurements or just questions and theories? The thing with the internet is that common knowledge is often wrong. Something sounds valid, gets repeated, and becomes fact even if it's incorrect.
When measured, a charge pipe will do nothing, the air's not contacting it long enough...
RE clutch pedal is much lower for sure. It's inline with the brake pedal instead of being 1 to 1-1/2" higher. It's easily measurable, no guessing needed. They've revised the geometry slightly in a few places to do that. They claim a shorter throw, and I haven't crunched the geometry numbers to...
It'll be really obvious once you see it. One end goes in the pad, there's a spot for it, and the sensor is spring loaded to stay. Then it's just following the wire up to the junction box. Little plastic clips hold it closed. There will be a few other little rubber pieces that go into metal...
Alright, yeah you got it. You were already running some slightly big sidewalls to start with. It feels like you're headed a little opposite with the new wheels, short sidewalls at 35, where 40 might be more normal there (to match factory, when using 18") but of course you don't have to. I know...
Are you not going to have taller tire sidewalls accordingly? Generally speaking if you go from 19 to 18" wheels the sidewall of the tire increases in height to make up for the difference (i.e. from a 30 to a 35 or something). The overall height of the combo ends up the same. Changing wheel...
Is that the bolster you don't slide across, the passenger seat, or is your photo flipped? It's seeming a bit apples / oranges.
Sure it could be defective but kind of guarantee even if it's replaced the exact same thing will happen again if you continue to do the exact same things.
You might...
There is indeed some sheet material connecting the strut towers to the firewall, and I'm sure it's strong. These bars obviously head frontwards, basically landing at another piece of sheet metal, the big flat one we all have, which also is apparently structural. The new bars either helped with...
