Adding my testimony here, this steering wheel has held up really well over 1.5 years. Standard alcantara wearing patterns, I would go with soft leather and perforated if doing it again.
Added some cheap shop lights so I can see what I’m working on, and buttoned up some HPFE stuff for the top mount kit. Carbon cover comes next week ❤
I agree that $3,500 would be a great price, there are things to keep in mind like the manufacturer of the wrap and how it is installed. I cared a lot about single wrap pieces and knifeless with no pieces removed, and found a shop to accommodate that.
Right, trick of the eye. They’re actually left body color of the car because of the complex curves. Those type of curves love to collect water, so there are lines in the wrap that are cut out to prevent fluid retention.
