The ceramic coat came out very well. It was applied over the PPF and then the rest of the car. The shop did a Stage 1 paint correction first, applied the PPF in the high-impact areas then applied the coating. I've had my car a year now and it looks like the day I picked it up from the detailer.
"When will you do your first oil change?"
When they pry it from my cold, dead hands.
Oh, wait a minute, wrong forum. My bad.
Coming up on 1 year ownership. Car has roughly 4000 miles on it. Will be taking it in next month for normal service and get the oil changed then.
Gonna say no on these. No disrespect to the MK4, but I have no desire to place MK4-like items on my car. I prefer to let my MK5 be its own vehicle and stand on its merits.
Agree with @XtremeMaC . Most PPF products are somewhat similar, each having their own advantages. The key to any of them is a good installer. Surface prep is everything.
Congrats on your new ride! The Turbulence Grey is the best color in my opinion. I almost got the Phantom Matte Grey but went with the Turbulence instead. Definitely glad I made the change.
Any mods planned? PPF? Ceramic coating? Window tint?
Enjoy!
Hard to tell but it doesn't look like it will buff out. The scratches, maybe; the chunks, I'd think not. You may get lucky though. You could wrap the rear section with some matte PPE but that is covering up the problem and not fixing it. Good luck!
