Correct - Electric cars don't need exhausts because the coal and gas fired plants that supply the electricity have that handled already via smokestacks.....
So, it was a bit tongue in cheek about "Formula 1 Engineers", really don't expect that, they are too busy trying to figure out how to beat Mercedes....
My theory is this - the 2 pipes look cool, but if I want to aftermarket upgrade, I think a single 3" ish pipe back to the muffler system would...
From an engineering standpoint with the downpipe at a fixed diameter and controlling the initial flow into the exhaust system, why is there any gain by splitting into 2 larger pipe diameters? Q=AV right, and continuity principles apply do they not?
I could take my garden hose and run it into 2...
Sorry this is probably covered somewhere in all the posts, but I didn't see it....
So, I am not looking for sheer loudness (actually prefer a tad quieter), but I do like a lower deeper tone that I think comes with either of these exhausts. I am therefore assuming maybe the HKS with the valve...
I am always hesitant about popping out plastic panels on the interior for fear of breaking something. Is there any magic to taking off the lower side panels to access the factory amp, and fuse block?
So.....looking around some more on all these threads I did find a nice write up (Thanks static63) on an Alpine amp and sub setup pretty much exactly like I am considering. This was very helpful - it seems like my only option is to use the speaker wires to the factory subs as my aftermarket amp...
Thanks, I see that thread but it frankly gets over my head with all the details. I am hoping for a relatively simple way to get an audio signal to an external amp, but maybe there isn't a "simple" way to do this.
So I have read quite a bit - impressive detail by the way from many of you! - but have a specific question that I hope can be answered.
In prior cars with premium sound systems, they almost always do a reasonable job except for bass. So a good solution (for me) has simply been to put in an...
Anybody in Denver area have one of these I could see in person? The blue looks so different in all the pics, love to see it in real light. Looks like dealerships don't have them (unless anyone knows different???). I am trying to find one to purchase but hesitant to do a deal until I actually...
