The image below displays the models and years that use the 5x120 bolt pattern. Some BMWs still use it, but it varies on platform.
I get the rare side of wheels being available in 5x114, but if you’re willing to buy a rare wheel and then risk drilling and damaging it just to get it to fit seems...
Agreed. This would definitely help with erroneous presses. It amazes me that the tech is already on the market for cheap and we still use dated products to power/control sophisticated hardware (I could be wrong on the switch design currently used in the Supra but was unable to find any solid...
I don’t think he is saying that it’s bullshit (as in there is no issue), but that it’s bullshit this is an issue in the first place (which it is). Technology is so advanced in these cars now that something as simple as accidentally or intentionally pushing a button 2xs in quick succession can...
The reason is that it’s a Z4 platform with a Toyota exterior and BMW uses 5x112. Not sure why you would go the drilling route, this is risky. They sell wheels in almost every bolt pattern now.
Does it happen after aggressive driving? Catless or catted dp? Since you are running 93 without a tune it could be running a bit too rich and burning off fuel in your tailpipe
Edit: burble could also be burning in your exhaust if it’s fairly new and you have a cat. Otherwise it doesn’t sound...
32. I spend most of my time traveling with a military supplier offering defense services and wanted something to build while I’m gone. It’s always nice coming home to a different setup.
Came from owning a 2015 STi (gave up on it because it cost way to much just to get it to low 10s reliably)...
He may have signed off already. Looking through his history though, if you’re referencing the Supra, he talked about it being a 21’ 2.0. Not sure beyond that. Not a bad trade if you really want to get rid of it right away.
Congrats on the trade! That should be a fun car to drive around, hopefully they don’t unlock the ecus in the next week and make you regret it! Jk, the manual will be a fun change at least. Good luck with it ?
My phone gets hot when charging in the dock as well. I don’t use it anymore though. It’s a nice feature but I had issues with the phone moving under acceleration and the charging would stop until I recovered/repositioned the phone. I’ll just stick to cables so I can mount the phone in a place...
I had to do some reading on this myself. While yes, e85 has shown to lower IATs, ZRK is right. “Heat soak” encompasses a lot more than just IATs (everything under the hood). Fuel alone is not going to prevent heat soak...
Didn’t know they made a red sport in rwd. There’s some weird stuff going on if the cars share the same motors and AWD makes more horsepower after drivetrain loss. It’s still not adding up. Sounds like people are either inflating their numbers or comparing multiple different types of dynos to...
Can’t really compare to the Q60 red sport though since it’s AWD and it’s drivetrain loss will be significantly greater. 375 to the wheels though on AWD might actually net about 390whp on rwd. Only time will tell.
I just wonder how these cars will hold up over time. I know a couple guys who...
