they're producing around 400 cars per month for N.A. afaik, so the ~3700 estimate seems pretty accurate given production start.
we discussed this at length and the past and the overall goals for NA/worldwide, but I can't find it right now and cant remember the exact details so.
EDIT: 12,000...
safety/collision reasons = structural IMO, but it's all semantics anyways. The Z4 has a bulkhead that connects the rear towers and keeps the seats from going too far back.
it's aluminum, or at least it was on our cars, and it is structural (RSTB), but it's debatable if you would notice a difference when its out. that said, it's there for a reason :)
I've researched this quite a bit and have asked our Technocraft/F guys what they think, and essentially after running the engine for a bit to bleed coolant and ensure no leaks, it's dyno time for WOT runs and then straight to the race track. You can look up the Formula Atlantic (TRD) engine...
well, these days it's a popular sentiment to hate people that do better than oneself financially or otherwise, so...
when you reach an extreme, stuff like this and theft become more and more common :(
The use case between these is so far apart... Either way, I think Powaup summed up my feelings, only that for commuting I'd possibly take the LC (gas mileage is a factor, but if you already paid 100k+ then you probably dont care).
That's because there were JZ engines sold new until 2007. Toyota generally employs a 15yr part support rule IIRC and in some cases longer based on demand.
They discontinued the 2J non vvti heads once already and some key players had to petition Toyota to make more. They now do low volume...
say you have a set production capacity and a certain amount of orders for a product, and this product comes in both versions X and Y, but only X can be sold worldwide; well, it's likely the best to produce X first and then move to Y when production allows.
Next gen IS will likely be the last awesome generation before everything goes hybrid/full EV, but yes it's looking good IMO. The powerplant options are nice.
As for the GS, it's is in a precarious position atm...
