There was an interview with BMWs Z4 product managers and the most important news seems to be this one:
“The [sDrive]30i and [M]40i will only come with a sport automatic,” said Ederer. “The 20i will come with a manual gearbox as standard”. If you’re in Europe, don’t expect the manual until 2019...
I have read your posts again and again. Maybe it's because my english is not that good. But for me, most of your posts on the subject read as if you were explaining how it is in a BMW, not what it was like.
I am by no means just to argue for the sake of argument. And I have said several times...
Forgive me. I just tried to say that it isn’t so in newer BMWs and that nobody has to fear unintuitive handling while driving a Supra because of all that BMW parts.
In the end I couldn’t stay serious anymore because in my eyes it makes no sense talking about a “feature” that most probably...
Really? So what the hell are we talking about? And what comes next? :D
I’ve got an idea: The climate control! Did you know that there is no sync-button for dual-ACs in some BMWs? That means you need to turn both knobs for driver and passenger if you would like to have same temperature all over...
You are wrong with that. A slightly push to the opposite direction turns the signal off. Just tested by a friend of mine in a brand new BMW X1.
So... a lot of hot air for nothing. ;)
But it’s ok, cause in the moment there seems to be nothing more important to talk about. :D
@SS09ER
Thanks for the list. I added some countries and information. If someone here has some additional information regarding preorder of the A90 Supra in any country of the world, please let us know.
Germany 300 - still open
UK 300 - still open
Norway 30 - newsletter only
Italy ? - still...
You should simply make a test drive with a BMW. Believe me, the usage of turn signals is as intuitive as you want it. I did never ever had any problems with it in three years of driving BMW.
As far as I remember, you can do it that way in a BMW too. A slightly push in the opposite direction cancels the chosen signal. So it doesn’t matter in what direction you push it, it cancels anyway.
Is it nonsense cause you don’t like it? One point that I actually like on it is the fact, that you can find the stick in the same position, every time you’re looking for it. But that’s just my opinion, nobody else needs to like it the same way.
Another aspect is, that most of the times I...
As you already know, I preordered one. I did it in a sleepless night, Friday morning at 2:35.
Did anyone else or am I the only one here?
Preorder is still open in Germany. Do anyone knows how about in other European countries?
It looks like I’d be the most boring man alive if I’d buy a Supra and let it how it comes out of the factory!?
Yes, I did it, registered for the „Club 900“. Waiting for everything that comes up right now. I’m still not sure if I have to buy that car. But if I’d do so, I would keep it how it...
Yes, that’s a nice one! I like that frozen grey too, but BMW charges about 2,800 Euros + tax for it :( I guess Toyota pricing for options won’t be much less.
I don’t want to say „I told you so“, but: I told you so! Most parts are BMW. Not all the same like the Z4 uses, especially the interior parts are mostly older ones.
And i don’t see any reason to believe any more in preproduction parts. This is final. I’d bet on that.
I am extremely unsure. On the one hand, I'm sure that the Supra is horny. On the other hand, I still do not know how it really looks from the inside, how it suits me and how much I actually have to pay for it. Discounts as they are usual will probably not be applicable for preorder.
I just...
That’s right, here is what google translated and I find it quite accurate:

Dear xxx,
the time has finally come: you can reserve the new Toyota Supra from now on!
Since there are only a limited number of vehicles available, it is now important to act...
That’s what I tried to say. But it only seems to be a bad translation. Could anyone post the email in German please? I’d give you a better translation. ;)
