we are testing some alternative production methods with silicone molding/vacuum casting for lower production number products but ultimately the quality will decide if we will use it. So far they could not reach our quality standards.
All of our products are with injection molding. It gives the best results in terms of quality, finish, and fitment but it takes a long time to get the mold done and also very costly.
You will need an ultrasonic knife to cut off the factory lens. Then the most important step is that you completely clear out the molten plastic from the grooves.
After that it’s just sealing on the new ones.
