Just don't pay it. I've got a tunable 21, waiting on the cost of ECUtek and turning to drop before going that route.
ECU unlock, flex fuel, and ECUTek tune is like $3k alone...F that. Costs half as much on every platform. Happy enough with the stock performance to just ride it out.
About $2500, probably another $2k when I finally decide to tune, maybe wheels and tires also. So will probably somewhere around 6k all in...eventually, but I also have a toy that floats so that's where all the money is really going.
I've seen the Sarasota one as well. Supposedly it's for charity, but is a regular cars and coffee type thing. I saw something on the website about $10 at entry as a donation is encouraged.
I'm south of Sarasota (Charlotte County) but would make the drive to meet up next month.
Has anyone here driven a newer BMW manual?....they shift like $hit. No soul, rev matching up and down, snappy clutch.... I'll stick to my auto. (Never thought I'd say that after owning more than a dozen manual vehicles.)
Edit, my last car was a 2020 STI, had a great transmission, shifted well...
I remember reading through this thinking why are all these people going through all this effort to change a stupid horn....had to use mine twice in one day...it must go. It's literally embarrassing.
As a side note I believe the phrase you were looking for is before I "pull the trigger." Stated the way you said it might get you in trouble in the future. ??
Exactly. If they were priced at 49k then it's a buy. But at 54k it's a joke. Lemon and salvage while different are synonymous when valuing the vehicle.
