It actually weights airflow effectiveness up to 75 mph. Meaning, if the coolant isn't at target even at up to 75mph of airflow, it keeps the fan running.
My catted downpipe cracked and I haven't had the time to source a welder to fix it. I already had a catless DP laying around so I just threw it on. Now I like the way the car sounds (I hated it at first) so I will keep it on for as long as I can stand dealing with the smell. Which might not be...
Yea, you won't be anywhere close to maxing out the oem HPFP on the stock turbo in the high mid and high rpm range. It's the low and low midrange you need to keep the boost down.
Even on something like a Pure800 you can run a bunch of boost through the top end on oem HPFP and ethanol. 28psi or...
That's a good data point thanks. Now that I am running no cat, the car is loud enough for me (and also still doesn't trip sound) so I'm not really pursuing a catback anymore. Only issue now is that it smells like garbage while driving and my clothes smell like garbage after driving.
Those are for the older modules. The G series don't have that common issue.
With some codes with bmw, what happened and why it tripped it might be different than what the code says. VANOS is a great example. If you overrun the HPFP at high engine speeds, then shift, you get a VANOS clamp code...
This is a much better comparison as they are both strut front, and as a reminder, the MK5 Supra development used a Cayman as a benchmark.
So, since you brought it up, VERY few GT4's are anywhere close to Supra times at my local track.
Gearing in the GT4 is also ass.
The other piece overlooked is that the GT3RS is more than 4x the cost of a Supra and 3x the cost of what I have in my Supra.
That is, if you can even get one. I sure as hell can't just walk into a dealership and buy or order one since I have no Porsche ownership history.
I run eBay spacers that are much cheaper. Work fine, tested at a repeated 140mph and 1.5g cornering.
Burger just gets them from China like everyone else.
If that was actually true then anyone going to a track day with a viper, ZL1 1LE, Z06, McLaren, etc would be fast. We all know that is very untrue.
Driving a powerful car fast takes time and skill.
Honestly, some days I miss a stock power Supra. You can just mash the gas without...
Make sure you are using a scanner that scans more than just generic things. Something like Bimmerlink or Protool. That way you get very specific chassis/drivetrain/etc information.
oh, that is just the M-lite thing. The actual bolts are the same. I don't see the brace fitting any different. If it fits the Supra that has more fins, it should for sure fit the M lite cover with less fins.
The Supra Final Edition has the same different cover with less fins so the Z4 bracing...
