Update: If I had the choice between driving my car with the Verus mounts some more, or buying the Black Forest mounts five times... I'd buy the Black Forest mounts five times. They are so much more sane than the Verus mounts, and you still cannot rock the engine.
IMHO there's only one worthy...
What are you hitting just driving around on the street? Something ain't right. Even on the hottest Texas days this summer, I hover around 210-216F for oil, which is perfect for ordinary driving. Hooning I'm seeing 220-230. If your temperatures are substantially higher in modest street...
What are your tire settings on the screen in the car? Are the new tires different from stock?
This has nothing to do with mismatched brands, btw, so ignore those comments. It is perfectly fine to use mixed tires as long as:
1) They match across axles
2) The rear rolling diameter is larger than...
So you're, what, just increasing peak fuel headroom?
You're not unlocked? You're not tuned? You don't have a new turbo that can utilize this extra fuel? What do you expect to happen?
The first post in this thread feels like mega astroturfing, and none of the facts in OP's posts are adding up...
I've also grown to hate my Verus mounts. The NVH isn't worth it for a daily driver. I've purchased a set of BFI mounts and will report back sometime in the future when I have time to install them. (lol)
All the years have functionally the same B58. It's the factory tune that changes. 2021+ simply run more boost, and slightly less compression ratio on the pistons. They're all Gen2/B58TU motors.
GRMan is right. Testing proves that going with the ideal tire size for a wheel is faster on the track than going with the biggest you can fit.
Here's a good example:
I agree with the assessment that you would hear this level of contact in the cabin. It would be a significant, noticeable, hard, loud, unmissable CLUNK if it was actually suspension contact while driving. If you haven't heard anything, this was just the poor tech trying to get the jam nut undone.
No, and I've since decided to remove them from my car. These are a great choice for people on the track, or customers who only drive in sport mode. But the Supra is my DD and they're a little too rowdy for daily commuting, and I've grown weary of them. I'm changing them out to softer PowerFlex...
A sensor is a sensor. The tuner can confirm if the tune is reading the sensor content over CAN bus. If the answer is no, then it's installed incorrectly and/or the tune is not configured correctly to read the CAN signals the Zeitronix box is sending about the eth%.
These are compatible devices.
