Plenty of people do, yes. Though apparently not as many people do as compared to those who buy crossovers and SUVs like they're going out of style (and personally I wish they would asap :puke:).

You did state this before and I'm glad they actually carried the development through to production, finally. Here's hoping that the gearsets they chose for it are quite strong and durable well beyond stock power and torque.

The Japanese market will also definitely get the manual trim levels. I believe it has also been confirmed for Australia and Europe as well. How many model years in each respective market is currently unknown. Hopefully it won't be a situation similar to the new GR86 only getting two model...

It is an unfortunate reality in most cases. Once allocations become available check the thread on these forums that lists dealers that are confirmed to deal in MSRP purchases for Supras which is almost certain to mean an out of state purchase... (if certain dealers so listed will work with you...

^^ That has been confirmed to be true for the new turbo Nissan Z. I won't be surprised if the Supra manual and Supra auto have the same difference. It's a situation that affects MANY high performance cars. The annoying purely regulatory reason is stated in this Jalopnik article...

Personally I love the old and new. I'm for EV's... but the current options aren't that engaging or interesting once the novelty of utterly silly 0-60 acceleration times gets old when it's the vehicle itself, handling dynamics, style and how the car feels to drive that become the long term...

If you want a NEW car to choose from between these two extreme options... the manual Supra is something that will only be available off a dealer lot through model year 2026 (actual year 2025). That's when production ends and after that there will never be a new manual Toyota Supra made again...

If it comes down to it... changing a factory manual transmission Supra 3.0L with a standard tan interior over to a black interior is far easier than obtaining and swapping a black interior automatic Supra to one of those manual transmissions, the gearbox, clutch, pedal box, clutch master...

In a Supra I'd probably go with a black interior but I'd still be open to a tan interior. I do agree with 2JZ-No-Sh*t that you *have* to stay on top of keeping it clean. A black interior does retain more heat on hot summer days but it's certainly easier to maintain. For me it will depend on how...

Peak torque as early as 1600RPM is great. A BPU'd 2JZ-GTE with the sequential twins develops its peak torque at only 1800RPM (with GT28 hybrids perhaps 200rpm later with higher max boost potential being the tradeoff) before the transition to the second turbo and those engines have had manuals...
