  1. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

Ditto Ditto again, in fact I was of the (mistaken) belief for a very long time that Toyota would never bring the Supra back. To my knowledge they had never brought back a car like that (the MR2 Spyder doesn't count as it was just absent from the USA market for 4 years, but the MR2 was produced...
  2. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

The one thing that I find interesting is the argument that can't Toyota build their own cars? But then you look at their long-standing relationship with Yamaha, who have designed many of the great Toyota engines over the years, and in fact hand-built the Toyota 2000GT for Toyota and you have to...
  3. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

I suppose it's possible the 4's get a manual, but BMW puts a manual behind the 6 as well. Jeff
  4. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

I don't think so. Door looks like a hole plug and body just looks like the moulding shape of the skirt. Jeff
  5. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

That is a bit of a pickle then. Haha. Jeff
  6. Production Toyota Supra will be revealed in the first half of 2019 at Detroit!

Makes no difference really, the vents can be legit even in the door. Just needs to lead to a duct in the quarter panel. Jeff
  7. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Yeah, for this specific purpose, I'm really hoping that the same engine setup and ECU are the same for the Z4 and Supra, allowing the use of a Z4 ECU and some wiring modifications and be good to go. Still, I was able to get my IS350 6MT setup working... I feel like it should be possible. The B58...
  8. 2020 Supra Transmission Chat - Manual, Dual Clutch, or Auto?

Here's to hoping the Z4 components are mostly bolt-on. Jeff
  9. Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept Officially Revealed!

I actually find it interesting that on the same day this car launched, Toyota announced they're dropping diesels from Europe, which is currently the only place they are using BMW engines in their cars. I wonder if there is any other plans to use other BMW engines in Toyota vehicles now that the...
  10. New Videos From Toyota

Didn't see either of these videos posted in the other threads. A good amount of history (especially A70) in the second video. Jeff
  11. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

12:45 AM is your time, not Geneva time. It starts at 9:45 AM in Geneva. Jeff

  13. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

  14. Supra Concept Appears In Geneva, VIDEO !

Not too much to see, but it looks very racecar. Jeff
  15. MKV Toyota Supra Dimensions & Specs leaked in Best Car Magazine

I'm hoping for something with performance somewhere in the M240i to M2 range with lighter weight. Thinking I probably won't be disappointed, pending price and options available. Jeff
  16. New Toyota Supra will reportedly launch at Geneva Motor Show (per Auto Express)

Looks like a narrowbody 88-90 GA70 from Japan. Thanks for lying to me, Toyota Europe. :( Jeff
  17. New (and old) SupraMKV members say hello!

Been around for a couple of years, just signed up to reply to a thread, so I guess I'm here now, haha. As someone with a long history of owning and modifying Supras and other Toyotas, I am looking forward to see what this car is, and have a strong feeling I will need to buy one. Assuming it's...
  18. Why I'm NOT Hyped About The New Toyota Supra

While I would tend to agree with you, Toyota does have suppliers and manufacturing facilities in Europe, so it wouldn't need to be shipped from Japan in order to have Toyota parts installed. For what it's worth, there are multiple Toyota models built and sold in Europe that have BMW engines...
