Ditto, all black here.
That said, I may make an exception in rare cases (or for cars I don't care about). I really like Speedway Blue, so the Yaris is that colour, and for the new Supra, it will depend on how it looks, but I would be open to some sort of flashy colour like orange. Not sure why...
While known for a while, and while they build other European marque models, it's an interesting fact that, technically, the Supra isn't being manufactured by Toyota or BMW.

This is a reasonable number in my opinion. For comparison, in its best selling year in the US, Lexus sold just over 2700 IS F's in the USA, and in it's worst selling year, just 86.

Based on my calculations, the V35A-FTS is likely about the same weight or possibly slightly heavier than the 2UR-GSE.
Just since I was curious to see whether or not swapping out the V8 in an LC to a TT 6 would actually save weight or not... likely not.

What I read from BMW previously about high torque and manual transmissions (specifically relating to whether future M Performance models would retain a manual transmission) was less that it couldn't be done, but more that it couldn't be done as well as they'd want it. That is, in order to build...
The one thing about the 86 AT versus MT is that the gearing is relatively different, so while what you feel is definitely attributed to the fact that it's an AT, the gear ratios play a pretty big role too.
Overall Gearing (AT/Early MT/Late MT; :1):
1: 14.51 / 14.87 / 15.59
2: 8.45 / 8.97 / 9.41...
I would be fine with whatever parking brake it has, as long as it's not a foot pedal that gets in the way of my clutch pedal, but it wouldn't be that.

Yes, the new Corolla Hatchback will have a 6MT and TSS 2.0 and AEB, but the problem is the cost of developing that system for the Supra and any BMW components may outweigh the gains. It's all about the bottom line.
The problem is not that it can't be done, the problem is that they may not want...
Yeah, that's the one I was talking about earlier in this thread with the new M20A engine and the fresh off the mill 6MT.
And TSS 2.0 with AEB, of course.
Still, that's not integrating it with BMW's systems, which is a different challenge.

They can. The real question is, and this may upset some, is it financially worth doing it? I suspect the answer to that is no, but I hope the answer to that could be yes. I know plenty of people not interested in the car without a manual, but, if there's nothing else with a manual, you take what...
I'm going to preface this with the fact that I totally understand Toyota's stance and that from a business point of view it probably makes good sense.
That said, if TSS is such a big priority for customers, offer it, even standard, on AT models and offer MT models without it. Then customers get...
