To be honest, Toyota's launches of cars are never really well done in my opinion. Other brands share similar issues, but not all.
It's just a car. One day it will be out and all of this will mean very little.
It sounds good though.

People like to say that, but I've seen parts reworked and changed for different models that didn't need to be so many times from companies like Toyota that I really don't think they calculate things that way. They will make 5 variations of essentially the same part for different grade levels all...
For what it's worth, A90 is marketing right now. I don't expect there to be any use of A90 in any official documentation or chassis codes for this vehicle.

It will be interesting to see if GR appears anywhere on the US-spec cars. I suspect it won't. From what Toyota has said, the GR brand isn't coming to North America any time soon. Nicely evidenced by the new Nascar version.

Weight manages to find its way into trim levels pretty easily these days.
For example, let's look at the Lexus IS, the base model was the IS250, which had a 2.5L V6 that weighed in at about 370 lb. The top model was the IS F, the 5.0L V8 weighed in at about 500 lb for a difference of 130 lb...
My guess, the SZ-R will be an N/A 6 or lower tuned aluminim block (or higher tuned 4) and the RZ will be an iron block turbo. Also add on extra safety features and so on for being the top model. (Bigger diff, other stuff) and you'll find your 300 lbs easily.

I think it's alright. Never thought the logo on the A80 was super special or nice either, but it looked good on the car. So did the A70 to be honest. Both were very appropriate.
I think this logo will work well on the car.

The Supra sequential setup used 2 turbos of the same size. Either the front or both were boosting. They are definitely both boosting quite a bit of the time.
Toyota didn't seem to put a lot of emphasis on the turbo aspect of the A80. There was no turbo badging of any kind on them at launch. A...
Agreed, in my mind, the RC is really just an IS sedan and the LC is "just" an LS sedan. The SC, while sharing components with many other vehicles (notably the Supra), it was more of a standalone vehicle and I would say slotted in more at a GS level, though of course in coupe form.
