I feel like so many of the design elements of the FT1 have translated onto the production Supra, but there were a couple that just worked better on the concept. Namely the front bumper and the side/door vent. I don't mind either on the Supra, but the FT1 had presence man. Jeff

Toyota/Lexus also use Air/Water IC setups on all of their recent turbo offerings. Hard to know for what what is what, but I would not be surprised to find an air/water setup in at least some versions of the Supra. Jeff

I wouldn't classify the JZ as an evolution of the 7M-GTE. They share very little in terms of design beyond what is similar to have a DOHC L6 (and a similar valvetrain setup, which was common across most Toyota engines at the time). I'm sure lessons learned from the 7M were taken into account...
