  1. The A90 Toyota Supra Prototype Comes to the US!

I would like to formally request that I am able to order the car with cloth seats. Read this, Toyota Canada. Jeff
  2. The A90 Toyota Supra Prototype Comes to the US!

They didn't. It clearly has both the Toyota logo and the Supra logo. Similar to the LC500. The Euro car had nothing there yet. Jeff
  3. The A90 Toyota Supra Prototype Comes to the US!

Unlikely. It's more likely that the UK Prototype didn't have the badges yet, and the US Prototype did. Jeff
  4. The A90 Toyota Supra Prototype Comes to the US!

Looks like someone photoshopped Tada-san into footage from Gran Turismo or something. Jeff
  5. Building an IS350 6MT

I expect it will take a bit of time after they come out, but if Toyota doesn't do it, I plan on it. We'll see. If manufacturers won't do manual transmissions moving forward, someone will need to start! Jeff
  6. Building an IS350 6MT

They did not. Wouldn't mind if they did though. Jeff
  7. The A90 Toyota Supra Prototype Comes to the US!

Was going to say the same thing. Definitely a different car. Seems to be US-spec (front side markers in the lights, etc.) Jeff
  8. Building an IS350 6MT

I agree and people think I'm crazy. I had a ton of fun with my car when it was just an IS250. Way more than in IS350's I drove. Jeff
  9. Building an IS350 6MT

Interesting, well I've been through before, but not often. If I am ever near, I'll shoot you a message. :) Jeff
  10. Building an IS350 6MT

Thanks, appreciate it. What state are you in? Jeff
  11. The Magazine Scan Thread

Interesting the weight listed there: 3256-3476 lbs. Jeff
  12. Building an IS350 6MT

I contemplated making this in the garage section, but I figured it made more sense as a thread, since that's the format I kept it in while documenting the build. I spent years waiting and researching before I started this project at the end of 2015. I almost sold the car and was extremely close...
  13. 3rd gen G29 BMW Z4 (2019-202X)

I agree with a lot or most of this post. I would have been happier I think if Toyota had called this car something different. Either way I am likely to buy one, but I don't think the Supra name was necessarily appropriate for it. That said, in a market segment that continues to dwindle...
  14. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

The Zx6 86/BRZ has a healthy dose of Toyota and Subaru all over it even though most parts say Subaru - including the transmission. The transmission which is Toyota/Aisin and was first used in the 1998 Altezza (J160). The engine, while a Subaru-based flat-4 was not used in any Subaru vehicles...
  15. Who can actually afford the new Supra?

I was previously in a position to buy one then I quit my life to go back to school. Hoping it doesn't flop too hard so I can pick one up around 2021 before they stop selling them. Hopefully with a manual transmission. Jeff
  16. Who can actually afford the new Supra?

Toyota 1LR-powered motorcycle with enclosed rider, feet are used to steer, hands are used to push pedals. Manual transmission. Jeff
  17. Have a look at the Prototype Supra's engine

I'd eat a shoe if it happened. Jeff
  18. The Toyota Supra Owner's Club Event featuring Tetsuya Tada & the A90 (photos/videos)

I wouldn't put the Aygo in the same class as the iA/Yaris, that's for sure, and of course it has a Toyota engine, but it doesn't feel very Toyota to me when I've driven them. Seemed like good cars and definitely a Toyota influence. Jeff
  19. It's going to be a liftback!

I've seen the way you drive Brian, you've got a heavy foot. Jeff
