I am in the same boat. Powerneedy Catted DP and Titan Pro tune. P0420 in map 4 with hard full pulls, none with Map 3 at first then I got one.
Added a 02 extender (L shaped one_) and got a different CEL. Pulled out the extender and the titan and still got a P0420. Normal driving wont pop a code...
So I am reading about drive cycles to erase the permanent DTC codes. When I first installed the down pipe I had a exhaust leak at the V-band so I loosened up the bolts and redid the v-band. I forget the actually connect both the O2 sensors in my haste so it triggered 2 permanent DTC's. Do these...
I was being a smart ass, Its a pleasure car and I live in a mostly rural area, so I can push the car harder. It wont throw codes when in normal mode I have noticed.
I disconnected the Protune and still got a P0420 code, I guess its not the titan. Perhaps I did something wrong during the down-pipe install, hard to say?
Both the Powerneedy and the AA have a GESI Cat, maybe there is a variation on Cat? Its very loud when you first start the car. I did buy the Titan 2nd hand.
Full on permanent code.. with hard pulls its will throw it.
I just clear it with a code reader. It does not seem to go away after a few cycles
Same powerneedy catted DP
I wonder if all the piggybacks throw codes
I have the same setup minus the intake, throws codes in Map 3 and 4 when in sport mode, stays code free when not in sport mode, but what's the point. I even tired a O2 sensor spacer and that delayed the code for a bit.
I got the Titan the weekend before last, its easy to install, so far I have run Map 3 and Map 4, Map 3 is supposed to be 50 HP on 93, feels stronger but maybe more like 30 HP? Map 4 is more significant but on a full pull through the gears it gave be a P0420 catalytic converter code. I spoke with...
