I put the stock dp back in, drove the car and all the permanent codes are gone. I reinstalled the Pro tune and its been codeless, I noticed the power increase seems much stronger, its been a lot cooler lately (mid 60's) so that may have a impact.

I didn't get a CEL stock, then I added a Titan Pro tune and that triggered a CEL. After getting back under the car turns out I had a small exhaust leak (didn't have the DP seated all the way in the exhaust)

I will be going the tuned route, with a catless DP.

I decided to keep the DP for now, sorry for the exercise.

The 02 sensor is after the cat also, so I think its most likely the cause

So I found a small leak on the exhaust right at the clamp, I will need to jam the pipe tighter to fill the gap, the stock DP is at least a 1/4 longer there and it slides in deeper. I sent air up the exhaust with a blower I have and sprayed the joints with soapy water to find the leak.

I reset the code and drove the car a few miles today as gentle as possible and it still threw a P0420 after 6 miles. I ordered a new V-band and gasket and will try replacing those.

The coating should in theory keep more heat in the cat so its a cleaner burn maybe.

I don't have a intake yet, didn't know about any coatings. I may just go flash tune at some point. My county in VA does not test emissions so its not a huge problem. I had a test pipe on a S2000 years ago, didnt care for the rotten egg smell, otherwise I would have just installed DP sans cat.
