Yeah, basically what I was thinking. Like adding a higher-flowing exhaust on a NA car and losing bottom end power due to a loss of backpressure (i.e., increasing max power and shifting the power curve up in the rev range). Would be interesting to see a before/after dyno, which I know is unlikely...
So drove around a bunch yesterday and checked this out. Did not notice this behavior. I usually run about one gear higher in M than what the transmission would put me in, too, because car go burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Interesting. That all sounds bad. I'm not pushing the car at the moment - haven't had it on any kind of track with the transmission flashed - but it sounds like there are some bugs to work out. I haven't experienced any. This isn't their first rodeo so I'm sure they'll get it fixed. Still...
Really...? Maybe I should spend more time reading the documentation. I rarely do hit it, but that's surprising. Is there a practical reason it's configured for this behavior?
Interesting. I drove around a bunch yesterday flopping back and forth between the two and didn't notice this (Stage 3). I'm going to do a bit more driving today before I start pulling the car apart for a few projects and will pay attention. Shouldn't matter, but do you have traction control on...
Good to know - thanks. I see doing business on the Internet like buying drugs. It's always the guy your connections tell you has the best shit. In this case, I've only ever heard people mention Jesse, which leads me to believe he probably has the goods.
I get it. If I had setup questions or warranty issues I would, for sure, contact Burger Tuning. I'm not seeing anywhere on the product page where they offer the service to assist you in creating a custom map for your vehicle. Is that something they simply don't advertise and you know they will...
This whole discussion reminds me that I have a JB4 in the garage to install and I really wish I had already done it since it's driving weather again. So reading this, it sounds like on pump gas, Map 2 or 4 is where you want to be, or work with someone on a custom Map 6? Map 3 on a stock turbo is...
I got my MHD Orange Wi-Fi adapter and flashed my car yesterday with the Stage 3 config and no other customizations. Was able to take it for a short drive - only around 30mins before the rain moved in - to see what difference it made... and holy hell. It makes a significant difference in how fast...

Someone here recommended it - don't remember who. It's fantastic and really improves the driving experience as a whole over the parts-bin wheel Toyota put on the car from the factory. I'm very happy with the quality of the wheel overall. It's a pretty simple...
Would you mind typing up your customizations? I'm curious to see the list and why you made them.
My MHD Wi-Fi adapter arrives today and I'm eager to get the tune applied and blow up my tranny.
