I have a 2020 M2C with 6-spd manual and love it. I would be driving a Supra if it had a manual transmission, and that is a deal breaker for me. I have the B58/ZF8 in another BMW and it's quite good -- best automatic I've driven -- but it's absolutely not as good as a DCT and is not a...
Not cheap, but "bar grating" could be used to flatten the path across the swale a bit and it should't impede water flow. Or build something with lumber.
That dude sounds like a car salesman and has the corresponding mix of erroneous info and poor choice of words. Hard to believe Toyota picked him to give a first look at the car.
If there is a hole, put GorTex vent material over it, not PPF. GoreTex will let vapor pass but not water. PPF will block everything which means vapor will be trapped in the light. Unless you have the ability to evacuate all moisture from the lights before sealing them, don't do it.
As far as...
Jackie Ding experienced this I believe. There can be a range of reasons. I think that even things that affect tire pressure, TPMS, tire size, ABS sensor, etc can trigger various limp modes. Transmission or differential temperature may also be a trigger.
I know this isn't your first rodeo with performance cars, so I am surprised you seemed ambushed by this. I am also surprised the dealer admitted fault.
At least in the BMW world, they won't normally check for a tune and they won't give a crap if they are going to overwrite a tune. When a car...
US model BMWs stopped getting the triangle some years ago (even though the cars still have a spot for them). I am surprised if the US Supra includes one.
That was related to a GM strike in 2019 that delayed start of production of the C8 and limited 2020 production, so it's a different situation (ie, unrelated to coronavirus). In the case of the C8, the sold out of 2020 production, which is why no new orders are being accepted for 2020 models...
Parts come from all over Europe and some outside Europe. Magna practices JIT (just in time) inventory management, so they probably only keep 1-2 days parts on hand, if that (it can be as little as a few hours of inventory with JIT). It wouldn't take much at all to disrupt or halt production.
You said many other things that are a stretch, but this was the worst, and it shows you are extremely uneducated about the B58 engines and the car in general. You ought to stop before you demonstrate any more ignorance.
The 382 HP engine also dynos above its rated spec. In fact all the B58 variants do. I have a 355HP B58 in my X3M40i and it produced 358HP at the wheels, so that would be 430-450HP at the crank depending on assumptions.
Normally you have to drive 1-3 miles or more for the process to proceed. And it requires you to drive through curves/turns so that the system can figure out which sensor is on which tire (it does this in conjunction with the ABS wheel speed sensors).
I have not looked at these particular...
