That sounds like what I’ve heard too. But when he told me about backing up tunes and reinstalling, that was something I thought Toyota started doing. But good thing you cleared that misinformation
Brought mine in today and was surprised the adviser asked if my car has a tune. He said if it did, they would back it up before updating ecu then they can put the tune back. That was news to me but it didn’t matter as I was completely stock
I really hate not having a dipstick as the sending unit could be faulty on the car. If it's getting an incorrect reading, that means you could have 2 quarts overfilled in your engine
I live in CA and had a similar experience in buying back a totaled car. When the title was issued, it was still a clean title. However the body shop that bought the car (that's the reason I bought it back) told me a Salvage title would arrive later after I sell it to them. Not sure if that's...
No I'm not brave enough to go through with the recall yet. Waiting for the 1st wave of people to do it and get feedback.
I asked so I don't end up at the same Dealer, since I'm in SoCal.
I service my car at Longo Toyota but I feel the Supra tech there is very careless. Scuffed up my rear speaker box when I complained about rattling and now tells me "there was an outside influence that caused that". WTF, yes it didn't come that way new.
He also spilled oil around the oil...
Meet this Sunday if anybody wants to go. 7am to 9am at Vons parking lot in Arcadia.

All types of cars will be there, it's held there last Sunday of every month.
I'm only going to Toyota for oil at the moment, I bought the Toyotacare service all the way to 4 years or 40k miles. I just want everything to be done correctly and documented during the warranty period up to 36k miles.
I just dropped my car off for it's second oil change at near the 2year...
You have to accept most people don't daily this car. So you should just drive on the weekends to increase your chances of noticing other Supras
Alternatively you can buy a second supra for your other half so you can wave at eachother
It's on the cover and it's on the fabric. Amazingly my dealer said this seems to be normal because other new Supras have the same thing on their visors. They contacted Toyota corporate and they authorized replacements.
