I’m exhausted. My one msrp deal went sour. Spoken to possibly 20-25 dealers this morning. Top 3 stories:
1. Dealer selling at 40k over msrp :spaz:
2. One dealer had the LE reserved for the owner.
3. Dealer deals with me at msrp. Takes my 5k deposit. Emails me documentation and they added 10k...
Car is 57k..you get tax for 57k. You trade in for let’s say 17k..you get tax for 40k. At least that’s how it worked when I got my rc f. But you are right, I would think you might get more dollar on a private sell but it’s a pain in the ass. At least my experiences.
I called dealerships this morning outside the Houston area. All want 70k-80k for the car but none have deposits on the first, just a lot of interest. Bet once that car has sat at the showroom floor for 2 weeks they might let them go at msrp.
If anyone in Jersey has 100k to drop on a LE. lol

if anyone has a LE confirmed at MSRP and for whatever reason does not want it anymore please let me know. I will fly anywhere in the USA to buy it and drive that bad boy back to TX. All my dealers in Houston want 15k over MSRP.
I spoke to 5 dealership in my area this morning. Two had no reserves and were willing to take my deposit for their first LE. Funny thing was that all 5 had the same mark up of 15k. Sounds like they got together and agreed on the mark up. Guess three future owners paid 85k + already- ouch.
