I’m still not sure boost/blow by is the reason for the issue. A good number of us 20’s are tuned (lol) and push more boost than the 21’s and still don’t have issues running 0w-20.
Maybe since the 2020’s have lower hp and no consumption issues, they don’t have proper performance engines and can be considered a true Toyota engine compared to the 21’s. Got it. ?
I don’t think anyone is knocking that 5w-30 is a better performing oil and a good choice for the car. I think it’s just the avoidance of the fact that using the factory issued 0w-20 oil can cause consumption issues. If you are ok with ignoring the problem that there may be issues with it working...
the problem is that the issue possibly devalues the entire model year with or without a replacement engine.
5w-30 may be a fix, but doesn’t mean that there isn’t a problem.
That is not how it works. They can’t make it unlockable/untunable unless they actually replace the ecu. They can make it where you will need a bench unlock again, but they can’t make it like the 21’s
why don’t you just get another license and have your new tuner send you a new rom to overwrite...
yes, take it in. What other option is there? If you can take off the parts it’ll be 2 less things they can blame on you even though they’d have to prove that they were the cause of the excessive oil consumption. With all the other documented 21’s with the same issue, it would be a tough argument...
Wouldn’t a toyota update erase the tune?
A good portion of us won’t allow the dealer to connect to the obdii port since it’ll likely erase the tune. Not sure why that couldn’t be an option to get back to stock.
Well, in that case, it may be tuned, but it’s not because it starts in sport mode. You might want to consider changing out those parts before removing the tune as you will likely get a CE light.
I heard the dealer is pretty good at removing tunes. ?
congrats, but you posted in the marketplace. you might find a better response in this forum

I use this IOttie holder and a 6” usb cable to keep the clutter down. Strong suction to the underside of the AC controls. It blocks some ac controls but nothing that I need to access all the time. Bonus is that the holder is also a wireless charger...
I looked back and I think you were the one asking about the v1 spoiler which is not a new product and will ship since it is probably in stock.
this thread is for those waiting for the new a91 spoiler. Your posts here are confusing the rest of us.
if you did order the a91 style spoiler and it...
