I would choose depending on what’s available locally to you. With ECUTEK you get a tune tailored to your car right off the bat. With BM3 and MHD you get an OTS map but you also have the ability to have it tailored as well.
I had an 2019 M4 Comp before the Supra. As a daily it is a better car. Back seat is surprisingly roomy. What I didn’t like is that the M3/4 kind of went away from what the M3 was supposed to be and the M2 filled that role. I feel like the M3/4 is somewhere between a 4 and a 6 series now. It felt...
Stock top hats. Haven’t found the need to go aftermarket yet. I currently have the dampening set to 18 (20 being the softest) all around and the ride is awesome.
From my experience with H&Rs, I found that the rear combined with the OEM shocks, there is too much rebound. There would be situations where coming out of a corner that the rear end would try to come around if there is a bump and I would be applying gas. I switched to Ohlins and haven’t had that...
I have the tool for it (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M6GHM93/ref=cm_sw_r_api_i_64ZPB70G7PT6NAKWDQ0G_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1) but it wasn’t spreading it enough. Ended up using 2 7 or 8mm Allen’s to get them spread. Something like this would have been better though...
It was pretty straight forward. The only hard part was getting the knuckles to spread to get the OEM shocks out. Word if advice though, Ohlins doesn’t specify which spring goes in the front vs the rear. USUALLY the thicker ones would go in the front. Not in this case.
I had the same issue with the same tire size but I’m running 15mm spacers and H&R springs. Eventually it rubbed enough of the bumper tab that now with Ohlins it doesn’t rub.
I think R888R runs a bit wider than the Michelins. I'm currently running 265/35-19 and 285/35-19 MP4S with 15mm spacers all around. With that being said, I wish I would have gone with 295/30-19 on the rear and 255/35-19 on the front with the Contis ECS tires I was thinking getting instead. The...
Thanks. I’m going to take another look tomorrow and make sure everything is right (and remove the bad KW canceler) before I dive into the helper springs.
